We have been tracking the progress of Hurricane Dorian and its effect on Disney World throughout the week giving you the latest updates on park and airport closures.
But, as the hurricane moves past Florida and works its way up to the Carolinas, here’s critical information on Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort.
Located only 5 hours away from Walt Disney World Resort, Disney’s Hilton Head Resort sits on the beautiful coast of South Carolina.
Both South Carolina and North Carolina are currently under a hurricane warning as Dorian slowly approaches the area. So, in anticipation of the storm, Disney has decided to close the Hilton Head Island Resort.
The location will likely remain closed until the hurricane has moved through the area. Since this resort is located so close to the coast, this has been done to keep both guests and Cast Members safe! We will continue to update you as more information is released.
