We’re back with another DFB restaurant review for you! Today, we’re going to head back over to Tangaroa Terrace, which you can find at the Disneyland Hotel.
Yesterday, we shared our thoughts on Tangaroa Terrace’s new lunch and dinner menu, and now we’re BACK to chat about the new breakfast menu.
Tangaroa Terrace is a quick-service restaurant offering an American menu with a Polynesian flair. We love kicking back with a meal on the outdoor patio. This location offers Mobile Order, which makes it a great option for guests staying at the Disneyland Hotel.
The new breakfast menu, which is offered daily until 11:00 AM, includes an American Breakfast, Thick & Fluffy Japanese Pancakes, the Loco Moco Burrito, Tangaroa Toast, an Açaà Chia Breakfast Bowl, and Avocado Toast.
Little ones can enjoy a Kid’s Power Pack, Junior Scramble, Kid’s Thick & Fluffy Pancake, or Kid’s Mickey-shaped Tangaroa Toast.
For the purposes of our review today, we’re going to chat about every item on the breakfast menu aside from Tangaroa Toast, which we enjoyed earlier this year!
Let’s dig in!
Eats
American Breakfast
First up — the American Breakfast, which includes scrambled eggs, bacon, sweet potato hash, and a pineapple wedge for $15.
We were happy with everything included in this classic meal! If you’re looking for a simple but hearty meal, the American Breakfast is your go-to.
Avocado Toast
Next, we tried the Avocado Toast ($14), which is made with toasted Hawaiian bread topped with a soft-boiled egg, furikake hollandaise, sliced Portuguese sausage, fried nori, and edible flowers.
Avocado lovers — this is for you! This was, without a doubt, one of our favorite things from our breakfast at Tangaroa Terrace. It was fresh and delicious!
Loco Moco Burrito
We continued our breakfast with the Loco Moco Burrito, which is on the menu for $13. The burrito is filled with steamed rice, chopped beef patty, fried egg, gravy, and crunchy onions, and it’s served with medium-heat Salsa Roja.
While we liked the burrito, it just didn’t feel like a breakfast item to us. It was a very heavy and filling meal, but still tasty. We’d just be more likely to order one of the other items for breakfast in the future.
Thick & Fluffy Japanese Pancakes
After that, we ordered the Thick & Fluffy Japanese Pancakes ($13). These vanilla pancakes are topped with tropical fruit compote, starfruit, and guava syrup, and they come with bacon.
Oh goodness, these SUPER FLUFFY pancakes were so yummy! The guava syrup was incredible but not too overpowering. If you’re looking for a sweet and potentially shareable breakfast, do yourself a favor and order these pancakes.
Açaà Chia Breakfast Bowl
Finally, we tried the Açaà Chia Breakfast Bowl for $8. To make this bowl, Açaà puree is blended with bananas, strawberries, and coconut milk, layered with chia seed pudding, and topped with granola, berries, and cacao nibs.
If you’re looking for something light and refreshing, this is the perfect find! We absolutely loved this bowl and thought the price was perfect as well.
Overall
We were very pleased with Tangaroa Terrace’s new breakfast menu and honestly have nothing bad to say about it. We enjoyed everything we tried, but our favorites were the Japanese Pancakes and Avocado Toast.Â
If you’re staying at the Disneyland Hotel (or even if you aren’t), head on over to Tangaroa Terrace to check out these yummy new breakfast options. Don’t forget to use Mobile Order while you’re there!

Are those Japanese pancakes available in Disney world anywhere yet?
