Hey all you runDisney fans! There have been some exciting announcements made for the 2020 Marathon Weekend at Disney World!

We already know the theme for these races will be retro-inspired and will take place at Disney World from January 8-12, 2020, but we just got some exciting news about the 2020 route!

runDisney has just announced a large portion of the 2020 course will be inside Epcot! Previous years courses were roadway-heavy and wove their way around the perimeter of the parks. We’d much rather run THROUGH the Disney parks than around them!

Also runDisney has reported the 2020 course will pass through Blizzard Beach!

There’s great news for you early birds too! The 2020 race will begin at 5:00AM — that’s half an hour earlier than previous years!

Lastly, a special new outdoor exclusive area for runners has also just been announced! This will be a great spot to stretch those legs, grab your marathon swag, and take a few selfies. This area requires a separate ticket and Disney has not yet released a date for these tickets to go on sale.
