Welcome back, resort hoppers! We’re here with another roundup of What’s New Around the Disney World Resorts! This time, we’ll be chatting about Coronado Springs, Saratoga Springs, and Wilderness Lodge!
We’ve got some merch, food, entertainment, and construction updates to share with ya, so let’s dive right on in!
Coronado Springs Food Update
We kicked things off at Coronado Springs Resort, where we learned that Laguna Bar is now open starting at 4 PM, instead of its previous opening time of 11 AM. As far as we know, it’s still open until 11 PM.
But, no need to worry! You can pop into Siestas for their drink of the day instead. We spotted the Very Berry Lemonade with Vodka, Chambord, and Le Jay for $11.50.
Hungry? (We always are.) Rix Sports Bar and Grill is offering a football special all day Saturday and Sunday, plus Monday and Thursday nights!
Munch on $18 Wings and Watchos or sip on $5 select draft beers while you root for your favorite team. (Does Team Mickey Mouse count?)
To finish your night of football watchin,’ head over to Cafe Rix for the Sweet and Healthy Snack Station…
… Ice cream…
… bakery treats…
… some Joffrey’s Cold Brew Coffee…
…or Nitro Cold Brew Coffee!
Coronado Springs Resort Construction Update
As soon as we walked into Coronado Springs’ old lobby, we realized it was more of a ghost town than the Haunted Mansion!
Now the check-in, concierge, and bell service areas are in the new Gran Destino Tower. A Cast Member informed us that they would be reimagining the space in the near future, so we’re excited to see what Coronado Springs has in store!!
Outside, we saw some new-to-us windmills over at Villa del Lago. (Um, how beautiful are these?!)
Coronado Springs Resort Merchandise Update
In Panchito’s, we spotted a Halloween display up to celebrate spooky season.
Buuut, there was no Arendelle Aqua merchandise in sight (yet, that is).
Outside Panchito’s, we saw a sign advertising Abstract Portraits, which are available on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights from 5 PM- 10 PM!
You can get a Line Style portrait for $30 without color or $35 with color and a Design Style portrait for $40 without color or $45 with color.
Instead of having your portrait painted, maybe you want to use your own artistic skills! On Wednesdays and Fridays from 5 PM- 9 PM, you can “Paint-Your-Own” Mexican Wood Carved Character. Will you be painting Miguel or Héctor from Coco??
After all that painting, sometimes it’s nice to go outside and explore the beauty of Disney World resorts! Now, you can pick up a Nature Walk guide…
…and try to spot some fish, butterflies, and cacti!
Now let’s head on over to Saratoga Springs!
Saratoga Springs Resort Food Update
Kicking things off at the Artist’s Palette, we saw that their drink station is back up and running!
While they made the wine section smaller, they did install a full sink to rinse out refillable mugs.
You know how much we love Mobile Order. (Food in a few mins? Yes, pls.) Now, Artist’s Palette is a Mobile Order location! We’re so ready for all the eats and treats we can get.
Speaking of treats, the bakery selection and the menus haven’t changed too much at the location. So, that means you can still snag the Bullseye Cupcake…
…the Briar Rose Gold Cupcake…
…or the Milk & Cookies Cupcake for $5.99 or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit!
We did happen to notice some new Florida local beers in the cooler, though! 😉
Saratoga Springs Resort Merchandise Resort
Disney Vacation Club Members, get ready to look even more fabulous than you already do! At the Artist’s Palette, there is a BUNCH of new DVC merch. This merch has been popping up around several DVC resorts, like Old Key West and Beach Club!
Try on the DVC Spirit Jersey for $54.99…
…don the DVC Hat for $27.99…
…remember your magical memories with the DVC Frame for $24.99…
…and represent the club with the DVC Member Bag for $64.99!
Keep track of all your items in the park with the inside pocket, handy zipper…
…and backpack straps on the back.
There’s also an Arendelle Aqua merchandise display, ready for all you Frozen fans to pick up the Arendelle Aqua long sleeve sequin Mickey shirt and burst into song. Are you feeling “Let It Go” or “Love Is An Open Door” more today?
The September Activities Guide has arrived for Saratoga Springs! Show off your best moves at the “Giddy Up and Dance” Nighttime Pool Party, relax at the Movies Under the Stars, and (our personal favorite) Make Your Own Ice Cream Sundae with ALL the toppings.
Now let’s head on over to Wilderness Lodge!
Wilderness Lodge Food Update
At Roaring Fork, we spotted the same cupcakes from our last visit…
…and a few familiar items in the bakery case — like the Raspberry Lemonade Macaron! Even though this isn’t new, it’s so cute that we had to try it.
The raspberry macaron has a raspberry lemonade filling, a white chocolate Minnie bow, icing drizzle, and dusted edible glitter.
Although the raspberry taste was more obvious in the filling, the cookie itself was soft with a slight crunch around the edges. The Raspberry Lemonade Macaron is HUGE and perfect for sharing for $6.99 or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit.
The Pumpkin Spice Latte is now available to wash down your sweet treats too.
The “Worth Melting For” Arendelle Aqua drink wasn’t available at Geyser Point yet during our visit, but we hope it becomes available soon!
Wilderness Lodge Construction Update
The parking lot construction has finally been finished and the new pavement looks pretty snazzy!
After entering the lobby, we found that there is a little bit of construction going on there as well! The staircase was blocked off…
…and the bathrooms were closed near Whispering Canyon. Hmm, we wonder what’s coming soon to Wilderness Lodge!
Well, that’s all for this roundup of What’s New at Disney World’s Coronado Springs, Saratoga Springs, and Wilderness Lodge Resorts! We’ll catch ya next time for more food, merch, construction, and entertainment updates.

Kelly Jeanne says
Just an FYI: I was in Epcot and HS yesterday, Sept 21 and the only place I saw the new Aqua ears was on guests’ heads lol. I was in Mousegear and asked one CM who first looked at me like she had no idea which ears I meant. Then she said “I guess they are over in the Aqua section”. I went back over there and after still not seeing any, I asked another CM who told me they were sold out. Don’t know if it’s property wide or just in the theme parks.
