We took a trip to one of our favorite spots around Disney World to see what is new over at Disney’s BoardWalk. Come along with us!
We checked out all newest food offerings on the BoardWalk like the Star Wars Galaxy eclair, new merchandise including the trendy Arendelle Aqua goodies, and even some cool new flowers we spotted hanging around!
What a beautiful day for a stroll down the BoardWalk!
First up, let’s see what’s new to eat and drink in the area. It’s still VERY hot in Florida, despite it officially being Fall, so ice cream was calling our name!
Ample Hills Creamery
We stopped in to Ample Hills hoping to spot a fall specialty flavor on the menu. Unfortunately, there were no new flavors, but Cast Members did tell us Nonna D’s Oatmeal Lace has been VERY popular with guests as a Fall favorite.
This ice cream is made with a dark brown sugar and cinnamon base mixed with homemade oatmeal lace cookies. It may not be pumpkin spice, but that sure feels Fall-like to us!
On our visit the shake of the day was cotton candy (Is anyone else in cotton candy overload after so many of the Arendelle Aqua sweets were cotton candy flavored!?), and Ample Hills is still serving up their ice cream flights. We still LOVE this option for sampling your way around so many of their great flavors. Read more about that here!
Next up on our walk was a bite over at the BoardWalk Bakery!
BoardWalk Bakery
We always love looking at this pretty bakery case!
The only new item we spotted was the Star Wars Galaxy Eclair we tasted earlier this week. This is such a fun (and tasty) option. What can we say, we’re suckers for glitter on our snacks.
The cupcakes here haven’t changed in a while. We still spotted the Orange Dream…
…Mickey Oreo…
…and Strawberry cupcakes being served.
The Daily Special was a Seaside Sandwich for $16.49, full of lobster, shrimp, bacon, lettuce and tomatoes on a fresh baked Hoagie roll. This is served with chips.
Our next stop was just outside at BoardWalk Joe’s for a quick drink!
BoardWalk Joe’s
This is always a great spot for a quick snack on the go or a margarita or beer.
On this visit, the Mickey Pretzels looked EXTRA amazing! We have a real hard time turning down that happy face!!
The beers here change occasionally and on this visit, we spotted a new seasonal Fall draft beer — Tampa Bay Brewing Company’s Gourds Gone Wild (ha!) which is a pumpkin spiced ale.
Last stop for snacks was Screen Door General Store!
Screen Door General Store
This spot has some great quick grab and go treat options.
We didn’t spot anything new on this visit but that cookies and cream fudge was calling to us for sure!
They have the Apple Pie caramel apple up for grabs at this spot as well.
We also spotted the seasonal Pumpkin Spice cupcake we’ve seen around Disney World recently here as well! Check out what we thought of this cupcake here!
After all those snacks, it’s time to check out what’s new in the world of merchandise down by the BoardWalk!
Dundry’s Sundries
This small shop offers up some unique clothing items and on this visit, we spied a new brand we haven’t seen sold here before!
Ocean Drive was being sold throughout the store. These casual, beach-ready dresses and tops are a perfect fit with the casual cool vibe of the BoardWalk! This tropical dress caught our eye for $35.99.
This soft flowy top will cost you $44.99.
And this pastel dress will also run you $44.99.
We spotted a lot of the Disney Vacation Club merchandise we’ve seen around other DVC resorts as well including these Loungefly backpacks.
As well as these DVC shirts on display.
One thing we were happy to see still at this shop is the Celebrating Tree! Guests can fill out a celebration ornament and hang it on the tree to show off what even they’re celebrating at Disney World! Super cute!
Next stop on our merch quest was Thimbles and Threads!
Thimbles and Threads
Some cute Halloween merchandise displays were set up near the front.
We also spied a small display of Arendelle Aqua merch, including those crazy sparkly Crocs!!
We spotted these super cute Princess purses for little girls for $24.99. We’ve seen these over in Disneyland, but this was the first we had noticed them around here!
We just recently saw these super cute and fluffy Stitch and Mike Wazowski headbands at the newly redesigned Mickey’s of Hollywood.
And this uber sleek Mickey Fedora we spotted earlier this week in Epcot is over here as well!
Last but certainly not least is Jellyrolls all the way at the end of the BoardWalk.
Jellyrolls
We recently told you about their super cool new reusable tumblers and light-up shot glasses and now we finally spotted menus to go along with them we wanted to share!
The tumbler menu…
…and the light-up shot menu!
You can bet next time we’re down at ‘rolls, we’ll be sipping a drink out of one of these reusable (and refillable!) tumblers!
A super fun detail we noticed new as we were walking the BoardWalk we wanted to share — SHRIMP FLOWERS!
We spotted some cute planters and guests taking photos of these strange yellowy plants.
We asked a Cast Member about them and it turns out they’re known as Shrimp Flowers! It’s a new plant they’re trying out at the resort. These are super cool and unique and totally caught our eye. Keep an eye out for these next time you’re in the area!
Well, that’s it for this trip to the sunny seaside of the BoardWalk! Now if you excuse us, we’re going to go hop on a Surrey Bike and work off those calories from that fudge!!
See you next time!

Hi, this place looks great! Is the Boardwalk the same or tied to Disney Springs? If not, what is it? Like a stand alone destination at Disney LIKE Disney Springs?
Candice says
Boardwalk is part of Disney’s Vacation Club. Great rooms and pools. Not part of Disney Springs. We love staying at Boardwalk since it connects to Epcot via a walkway or boat launch. Directly across the waterway from The Beach Club (both regular Disney rooms and Vacation Club) and The Yacht Club (non DVC).
