Super weirdness taking place at Disney World food courts, my friends!
Today at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at Disney World’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort, we spotted signage showing refillable mug (which you can buy at Disney World resort hotels that allow you to get free refills for a select amount of time) prices bumped up by one dollar — to $19.99 from the previous price of $18.99.
Other signage at the food court — and at other food courts around Disney World — still said $18.99 as of this morning, so we were curious to say the least.
Checking out Disney World’s online menus, we also saw $19.99 as the price of refillable mugs. We’re seeing LOTS of price increases on the online menus at the moment as well, so that’s something we’re watching closely and double checking in the parks. So it wouldn’t be surprising for the mugs to be going up in price as well.
Upon asking a manager at Port Orleans French Quarter about the signage we saw at $19.99 compared to the $18.99 signage we were seeing elsewhere, he rang up a mug for us and it came to $18.99.
So what conclusions can we draw from this? Well, generally I’d say that the Disney World website is a known glitch-fest a lot of the time, so I’d watch and wait. But today — well, today we’re seeing price increases ACROSS THE BOARD at Disney World resorts and theme parks. Some are already in effect, and some are just shown on the online website menus. But since we ARE seeing some in place in the parks right now, it wouldn’t surprise me if the official refillable mug price increase followed suit.
We’ll continue to watch this story for you, and we’ll double check resorts throughout the day and going forward to make sure you know any price increase changes we’re seeing. In the meantime, don’t be surprised if your refillable mug soon costs you $19.99 for length of stay.

Grant Carpenter says
Can you bring a refillable mug from your last trip to Disney world even if it has been a fewyears since your last trip??
DFB Sarah says
Grant, what we’ve been told is yes, you can bring them, and yes, they can be reactivated for length of stay (up to 14 days). But we have not confirmed this independently, so it’s possible your mileage may vary on this.
Mair says
If the Disney mugs can be reactivated is there a charge for this service?
DFB Sarah says
Mair, just the price of a mug, I would expect. Now that’s $19.99.
Mair says
So really there’s no point reactivating an d one as that’s the price of getting the new refillable mug am I right?
