Welcome to another roundup of What’s New in Magic Kingdom!
We have Maleficent dolls, construction updates, and so much more to chat about, so let’s get started!
Magic Kingdom Food Update
We have a LOT of food updates to talk about today, partly because of Disney World’s new emphasis on plant-based menu options. Learn all about the plant-based items in Disney World here!
Main Street, U.S.A.
In Tony’s Town Square, the Garden Salad has replaced the House Salad, and they’ve introduced a new plant-based Spaghetti and Mushroom Meatballs.
Nearby at Main Street Bakery, we saw that the Mickey Donuts were still available for the time being!
Check out our review of these giant donuts here!
At Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, you still have a chance to grab an adorable Minnie Kitchen Sink Sundae as well. We aren’t sure how long it’ll be available, so go ahead and grab it on your Magic Kingdom day!
Next door at The Plaza Restaurant, their updated lunch menu has a plant-based Plaza Burger that comes with a brioche bun, lettuce, tomato, onions, and a choice of toppings and sides. You can try it for $17!
Adventureland
Over in Adventureland, Skipper Canteen has updated its menu with the plant-based logos.
Also, they’ve updated the beverage menu to reflect the absence of the souvenir mugs — hopefully souvenir mugs will come back soon! Finally, missing from the menu are the Exotic Coca-Cola options (Guarana Kuat and Fanta Melon Frosty).
Liberty Square
We spotted some menu changes at Liberty Tree Tavern as well! The plant-based Roasted Vegetable and Tomato Soup ($9) replaced the Beef and Barley Soup. They’ve removed Cherry Almond Tart and Blueberry Citrus Fritters but added the Johnny Appleseed’s Warm Apple Cake. This plant-based dessert comes with whipped cream and caramel for $8.
If you plan to order the family-style meal at Liberty Tree, note that this meal has gone up in price for adults from $38 to $39.
At Columbia Harbour House, Vegetarian Chili is now Harvest Chili, and both it and the New-England Clam Chowder went up in price to $6.79 from $6.49.
Fantasyland
There’s a new menu item at Pinocchio Village Haus as well! They’ve added plant-based Penne Pasta and Marinara Sauce to the menu for $11.99.
Be Our Guest has a new addition to the breakfast menu! The Le Fou Festin features plant-based eggs, sausage, bacon, breakfast potatoes, and fresh fruit.
On the lunch menu, the Seasonal Salad has replaced the Spring Salad, but the description remains the same.
One of favorite sweet treats has increased in price! The Warm Cinnamon Roll at Gaston’s Tavern has gone up in price to $5.99 from $5.29.
If you’re on the Disney Dining Plan, we have some yummy news! The Witch’s Frozen Brew from Eric’s Village Market now has a snack credit icon. 🙂
Read our full review of the Frozen Witch’s Brew here!
Over at Big Top Treats, the Rainbow Mickey Crispy Treat is now called the World of Color Crispy Treat instead.
We also saw that Cheshire Cafe is no longer selling the Mickey Donuts, and the Pepper Jack Pretzel has increased in price to $6.79 from $6.59.
Tomorrowland
Spooktacular news, friends! The totally epic Jack Skellington Sipper is now available all day, so if you aren’t able to attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you can still snag one! We grabbed ours at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe for $22.99.
Learn more about the Jack Skellington Sipper here!
Also in Tomorrowland, Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies has added a Brownie Sundae for $6.99 or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit. It comes with vanilla soft-serve ice cream and hot fudge or strawberry topping! During our visit, we noticed that they’d removed Sundaes with Hot Fudge or Strawberry Topping.
Nearby at The Lunching Pad, we found a trio of price changes. Mickey Pretzels went up in price to $6.79 from $6.59, Churros went up to $6.19 from $5.89, and Cream Cheese Pretzels went up to $6.79 from $6.59.
Multiple Locations
At various snack carts around the park, a regular bag of popcorn has increased in price from $5.00 to $5.25…
…while churros have gone up in price from $6.25 to $6.50!
Explore more price changes we’ve found around the parks here!
If you still want to get your hands on one of those adorable Mickey Sippers, we spotted them in various counter-service locations around Magic Kingdom!
Magic Kingdom Construction Update
Tomorrowland
We don’t have too many construction updates to share today, but we did snap a quick photo of the upcoming TRON Lightcycle Run coaster!
The attraction is slated to open in time for Disney World’s 50th-anniversary celebrations in 2021, and you can learn more about it here!
