The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is an iconic Disney attraction that you can find in Disney World’s Hollywood Studios, Disneyland Paris’ Walt Disney Studios Park, and Tokyo DisneySea. Disney California Adventure has a similar drop attraction, but it has been rethemed to become Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: Breakout!
Today, Disney gave us a closer look at some thrilling new updates featured in the attraction in Paris!
According to Disney, “Imagineers have expanded the storyline, with a new story thread and ride sequences that offer more chills and thrills for this classic attraction. And this ‘special edition’ of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is unique to Disneyland Paris.”
Remember that young girl featured in the television section of the attraction’s Library scene? Well, in the new version of the ride, “the girl becomes a starring character on the ride, warning us not to cross over into the Twilight Zone.” Sounds a bit spooky, doesn’t it??
The reimagined ride will also include “new illusions, media sequences, and audio soundtracks to create not one, but three different show and ride sequences for the attraction.”
If you’re going to Disneyland Paris anytime soon, you don’t want to miss out on riding Tower of Terror in Walt Disney Studios Park!

I’m visiting DL Paris at the moment and just rode this updated version. There were a few spooky scenes involving the little girl but it was all in French so I was mostly lost. The only phrase in English was “Follow me before it’s too late” but I didn’t quite understand the context. I did notice the drop sequence had quite a few bounces/drops.
