The standard going rate for a pair of adorable Minnie Ears has been $27.99 for some time, but in light of all the recent price increases Disney’s been making lately, such is no longer the case!
Sadly, it’s true! Even our beloved ears have now fallen victim to Disney’s price hikes (right along with Mickey pretzels, popcorn, and booze!) Keep reading to find out how much they’ve gone UP!
As of today, you’re going to have to shell out a few more dollars for your Minnie Ears! Disney’s just raised ’em to $29.99!
We saw the $2 price increase at Disney World today effecting many sets of Minnie Ears that had been previously available for $27.99 such as the Donut and UP! Minnie Ears.
We saw the price change reflected for several Minnie Ears on shopDisney as well!
But strangely, not ALL the Minnie Ears were effected. We saw some designs including the Minnie Mouse Candy Corn Ears were still being sold for $27.99, while Designer Ears such as the Loungefly Ears had stayed the same price at $48.

Hey, $29.99 is still a heck of a lot cheaper than Heidi Klum’s $600 Minnie Ears, so for that, we are thankful!

With all of these price increases around the parks, we’re beginning to wonder what other items will see a price increase. If we do see more changes in prices around the parks, we will be sure to let you know!

I bought my classic fuzzy ears with the poofy red bow six years ago, for $16. Given that they’ve now almost DOUBLED in price, I think I’ll just have to settle for pictures of all the ears and save my money for other things. (And save my temples from pain- the ears are all super cute, but honestly, they’re not the most comfortable.)

No wonder ears on Etsy are so dang popular, a lot of them are cheaper than Disney prices even after shipping. Not sure when the price ceiling will break with park merchandise but I can imagine it’ll be in the next 5-10yrs at the rate they’ve been increasing costs across the board on the regular.

I don’t think it’ll take that long to reach the price ceiling. Disney’s faltering now in a lot of departments, including price increases. They’ve definitely reached the glass ceiling with how much people are willing to spend on a Disney trip, including the merchandise. If they don’t quit it, they’re going to price their primary audience right out of their parks!

And my friends, that is exactly why we make our own, which look just as good or even better than those at WDW, that cost an arm and a leg ! I am constantly stopped and asked where I got my ears. And people are so surprised to hear that I made them myself. Disney, you are over pricing yourselves !
Girls, Make Your Own for about $4.00 a pair.. no joke !!!

The likely reason those candy corn ears were still at the lower price is that Disney had no shred of hope selling all that they had in stock before the end of Halloween season. We were in the parks from the 12->20th of October. The shelves were full of them. Expect them in a Derek Burgan outlet report soon 🙂
