A trip back to Batuu was in order as Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland, at less than five months old, is introducing new food options at a hyperspace speed!
We’re especially excited to try the Happabore Sampler, a charcuterie plate with cured meats, artisanal cheeses, some crunchy bits, and picked vegetables, to hit the already solid lineup at Oga’s Cantina. With varying dietary needs for visitors, Vegans seem to be getting a lot of attention on Disney property with the recent MAJOR upgrades, like plant-based cuisine guides, over 400+ vegan and vegetarian options, and now a Ronto-less garden wrap at Ronto Roasters.
But fear not, carnivores! Disney hasn’t forgotten our pork-loving friends and just launched today a very NOT VEGAN ITEM — Cinnamon Sugar Kyryll Pork Rinds. The force was strong with our high hopes for this new item. (HELLO! Ronto Roasters is THE spot to go in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge for their DELICIOUS and seriously addictive Ronto Wrap. This place knows their way around some meat!).
The portable snack is a cute play on Puffer Pig, from the Star Wars Rebels animates series. We were already hesitant to try them because they are so adorable (and also available stuffed in NOT fried form at The Creature Stall).
Kyryll Pork Rinds are available a la carte for $7.49 or served in an MSE-6 Series Repair Droid souvenir vessel for $19.99.
Unfortunately, the new Kyrll Pork Rinds were a BIG swing and a miss for us. While the texture was light and packed a nice crunch like you’d expect from your favorite truck stop pork rinds, the flavor was very inconsistent. Some were generously coated in the cinnamon sugar while others had barely any coating.
They were served warm but did not seem very fresh AT ALL. The pre-packaged bags were sitting in a warmer for an unknown amount of time. We suggest if you’re looking for a meaty snack over at Ronto Roasters, fork over the couple extra dollars for a Ronto Wrap or pick up a bag of their Nuna Turkey Jerky on your next visit.
If you’re dying for a cinnamon-flavored snack (that we actually LOVE!), journey a few steps outside of Galaxy’s Edge and grab a fresh churro in neighboring Frontierland. Can’t go wrong there, friends!!

Are these pork rinds gluten-free? Will they be coming to Walt Disney World soon? Are churros gluten-free? Do the Disney properties serve stale food! Thanks for keeping us informed!
DFB Sarah says
Ann, no word on if the Kyryll Pork Rinds will come to Disney World, but the World’s Ronto introduced Ronto Chips yesterday (see our review here) which contain things that should be GF: Turkey Jerky, Plantains, Blue Potato Chips, Pork Rinds, Rice Cracker. I’m checking with our on-site people to see if they confirmed this.
