Hey, friends! We’re back with another What’s New in Animal Kingdom.
Here, we will explore the latest food, construction, and merchandise updates happening around Disney’s Animal Kingdom. So hop on board as we journey through the vast news jungle.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Food Update
Eight Spoon Café
Eight Spoon Café is a snack cart in Animal Kingdom that offers bites like Mac and Cheese and Mickey Pretzels.
Now, they have added Corona Extra to their menu!
Flame Tree BBQ
If you’re like me then you may believe that carbs are life. Therefore, you might be happy to know that the cornbread side is BACK at Animal Kingdom’s Flame Tree BBQ.
This side used to come with some of the platters, but now it’s a $2 upcharge and can be purchased separately.
Nomad Lounge
This morning we shared some delicious Nomad Lounge news!
Nomad Lounge has officially added three BOWLS to the menu. Guests can now choose from the Chicken Manchurian Nomad Bowl ($11.00), the Wagyu Beef Nomad Bowl ($18.00), and the Togarashi-spiced Tuna Nomad Bowl ($15.00).
Each bowl is served with steamed Rice, Red Cabbage Kimchi, Ginger-Scallion Oil, and Crimini Mushroom.
Honestly, we were blown away with the tenderness of the meats, the mixture of textures, and the overwhelming amount of flavors thanks to the way the bowls had been seasoned.
Check out our full review of these NEW bowls here!
Nomad Lounge has also added the new Cluver and Jack Cider to the menu. This cider is imported from South Africa and is made with handpicked Granny Smith apples. Not only is this a refreshing addition to the growing menu, but it paired well with the bowls. The tartness really complemented the rich flavors of the meats.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Construction Update
DinoLand U.S.A.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in DinoLand U.S.A.
Yesterday we noticed that lights had already been wrapped around the water tower near Restaurantosaurus. We cannot wait to see the rest of the decor start popping up around the park. Especially since so many new additions are on their way!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Merchandise Update
While we’ve spotted all kinds of holiday merchandise around the parks including new ears, decor, ornaments, and more, we noticed a few different options in Animal Kingdom.
Riverside Depot
Over at Riverside Depot, we saw a few Artist Series Ornaments. Each of the limited-edition ornaments are created by a different artist.
The Lion King ornament was created by Maria Stuckey. It features the iconic Hakuna Matata scene with Timon, Pumbaa, and Simba.
Another artist that designed an ornament was Brian Blackmore.
Brian has brought the magic of the holidays to life with this Donald Duck ornament, don’t ya think?!
We also spotted the even more classic and vintage looking Donald option!
Tink has also fluttered onto an Artist Series ornament created by Costa Alavezos.
I’m lovin’ her sassy look!
Darren Wilson thought up a Sorcerer Mickey ornament that is making us want to dish out $34.99 RIGHT NOW.
I can hear the magic brooms approaching, can’t you?!
Each of these limited-edition ornaments is $34.99.
Looking to cozy up with some Disney holiday socks? Then, look no further as we have found a super adorable and comfy lookin’ pair.
These winter socks even have little grips on the bottom, so you shouldn’t slip and slide when walking around your house.
The winter socks can be yours for $19.99.
Disney has recently released a few holiday plush. And now we’ve found even more at Riverside Depot!
Just look at how sweet these Christmas Babies are! Minney is rocking her iconic red bow, while Mickey has on the cutest little Santa hat.
You can wrap them up in their cozy Christmas blankets.
These are sold separately for $29.99.
Discovery Trading Co.
One of the fun spinning pens that we noticed in Disneyland a few weeks back has spun into Discovery Trading Co. in Animal Kingdom!
You can sing “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” as you watch baby Simba twirl around! This pen is $9.99.
You can check out even more Twirling Pens here!
Well, that’s all for this What’s New in Animal Kingdom! Be sure to check back as we will be posting even more What’s New posts throughout the day!
