There’s something so special about the magnificent gingerbread houses at Disney World during the holidays!
Is it that they’re positively MASSIVE? Or maybe its the level of detail that the Disney pastry artists put into these magical cookie-based creations? Whatever the reason, we keep coming back year after year to see the awesome gingerbread artwork to be found around Disney World. And if you’re like us, you won’t want to miss out on any of this year’s displays!
We’ve compiled a list of all the gingerbread creations around Disney World this year so you can make sure you don’t miss a single one! Let the Gingerbread display crawl begin!!
Contemporary Resort
Back for its 10th anniversary is Disney’s Contemporary Resort’s gingerbread castle! That’s right, while we’ve been closely monitoring progress on the much-loved Contemporary resort display of Cinderella Castle in gingerbread form, it’s finally complete!
This display is always a favorite and is designed as a tribute to Mary Blair, a formative Imagineer in the designing of “it’s a small world!” as well the artist behind the HUGE Grand Canyon Concourse Mural in the main lobby of the Contemporary! Like last year’s rendition, the 2019 gingerbread castle featured cute versions of Cinderella, Prince Charming, and the Fairy Godmother.
This display can be found on the 4th floor of the Contemporary Resort and is a must-see for those looking for stunning gingerbread houses this holiday season! And this year in honor its 10th anniversary, you can purchase a special 10th-Anniversary Cookie Box which contains four different cookie flavors! Yum!
You can also buy an assortment of other tasty goodies and gingerbread display souvenirs including a special commemorative mug, pin, and ornament at the Gingerbread Snack Stand (if all that gingerbread has left you craving some sweets!).

Grand Floridian Resort
One of the best-known Disney World gingerbread displays is the longest-standing Grand Floridian Gingerbread House which has been crafted in the Grand Floridian’s lobby for 20 years!
This MASSIVE display is 14 feet tall and is made with a RIDICULOUS amount of ingredients. Think 1,050 lbs of honey, 800 lbs of flour, 600 lbs of chocolate, 600 lbs of powdered sugar, 140 pints of egg whites, and 35 lbs of spices. Plus, it takes an entire team of pastry chefs to construct. Sheesh! It’s no wonder this display is a favorite considering it’s big enough to hold some SERIOUS holiday cheer!
And now that’s its construction is complete, that means the SNACK SHOP is finally open!
This is THE PLACE to buy a variety of seasonal cookies and sweets including one of our favorites — gingerbread roof shingles! And new this year, you’ll find the Giant Cake Pop, Aurora Petit, Snowman Donut, along with one of our returning favorites — the S’mores Cookie! This shop is open typically 10AM til 10PM and during busy times of day when families are coming or going, the line can get pretty long! It’s well worth a trip to see though. The roof even puffs out smoke! Christmas cuteness overload!!

BoardWalk Inn
A more recent addition to Disney World’s line-up of famous gingerbread displays can be found at the BoardWalk Inn. This display first popped up in 2017 and depicts a cute gingerbread version of the shops along the BoardWalk. This year, the display has loads of amazing additions and new details — in teeny tiny confectionery form!
Pastry chefs at the BoardWalk develop this display each year with the BoardWalk Bakery as its main focal point (they WOULD focus on the bakery! Those bakers gotta represent!).
This gingerbread display is such a delight to see every holiday season, so be sure to make time to swing by the BoardWalk Inn if you’re nearby!

The Beach Club
For a more whimsical approach to holiday displays, follow the smell of gingerbread to Disney’s Beach Club where the new Beach Club Gingerbread Carousel has popped up! The Carousel’s theme this year pays tribute to Peter Pan — one of our favorite Disney films AND rides! Plus, it actually spins!
Every year, the theme changes on the Carousel. Last year it was dedicated to Donald and Daisy but 2019’s carousel is all about our pals Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Tinker Bell, Wendy and Smee! Check out how each of the carousel’s chocolate horses represent each character!
This is typically another huge gingerbread display — as in 2,029 pieces of gingerbread huge!

Wilderness Lodge
New to Disney World’s gingerbread scene is the brand new Gingerbread Cabin!
The cozy little cabin features some adorable details including Chip ‘n’ Dale warming themselves by a toasty-looking fire!
Plus there are some exclusive seasonal treats you’ll only find at the Wilderness’s Snack Stand — including a tasty Spiced Moose Cookie and Reindeer Food which has chocolate-covered hunks of gingerbread (the same recipe as the ones used to make the cabin!), with sweet granola clusters, chocolate-covered pretzels, and m&m candies!
We’re so happy the Wilderness Lodge is celebrating the Christmas season with its own gingerbread display this year! It’s always been one of our favorite Disney World resorts to visit and stay at during the holidays, and we’re even more excited about it now that it’s got a Gingerbread Cabin!

Saratoga Springs
The Saratoga Springs gingerbread display may be one of the smaller ones on property, but it’s big on charmingly sweet details!
The display features five uniquely-decorated buildings and is open for viewing in Saratoga Springs’ lobby from 9AM to 9PM daily. Check out the amazing Gingerbread Chapel — one of our favorite structures in this year’s display!
And we’re loving the red brick look of the gingerbread post office! We bet a lot of letters addressed to Santa would be shipping out from this place — if it were actually real!
This lovely abode would definitely be our pick if we were on Gingerbread House Hunters (dear Santa, Can that please be a thing?!)
Check out the rest of Saratoga Springs’ gingerbread display here!
Amorette’s Patisserie
You’ll likely be able to find some gingerbread outside of the resorts too! Last year, we spotted a super cute gingerbread display at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs to go along with all the fun holiday treats there.
Last year’s display featured a gingerbread Amorette’s and tons of pretty chocolate Christmas trees. This display tends to change up from year to year. So, who’s to say if the display will be the same this year? We’ll have to wait and see to find out!
The master pastry chefs and decorators over at Amorette’s know a thing or two about how to make beautiful works of art out of baked goods, so naturally they knock it out of the park each year!
Take a peek at last year’s gingerbread creation at Amorette’s here!
And More!
We’ve also previously spotted a gingerbread version of the capital building in the American Adventure pavilion in Epcot. It’s likely this patriotic holiday delight will return as well. Check out that candy cane roof!
And, there will possibly be even more gingerbread delights to find in Disney World this season! Many of the resorts that don’t have formal displays still often do a showcase of Cast Member created gingerbread houses that can be positively charming (and pretty impressive!).
Don’t miss out on any of the wonderful Disney gingerbread houses this holiday season! We’re expecting even more gingerbread displays this year, so we’ll keep updating this post as more is revealed in Disney World! In the meantime, you can check out our tour of the gingerbread creations around Disney World last year, and happy (early) holidays!

Nick says
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is getting an official display this year too.
Mike says
There are two new 2019 gingerbread display pins at Saratoga Springs and at Wildnerness Lodge! Do you have any information on what themes for these new displays might be?
Julie says
We are arriving mid-day Jan 1st – when do the displays (and Christmas-theming in general) come down! Can only imagine their glory in person!
DFB Sarah says
Julie, usually early-January, but you should still find some or all in place the first couple days.
Louise says
When can we see these displays. We are here until 7th! 🤞
DFB Sarah says
Louise, Contemporary’s display is up!
Corey C Rosado says
Do you have a favorite route to suggest for visiting the resort gingerbread houses?
DFB Sarah says
Corey, we don’t necessarily have a preferred route, but the first thing you’ll need to figure out is where you’ll park or where you’ll start. If you’re not planning to be in a park the day you want to tour houses (if you’re driving over, I mean), you might want to park at TTC, and start with the Monorail Resorts, hit up Wilderness Lodge, then boat to Monorail to head toward Epcot. From there you can check out the options at Beach Club and BoardWalk. The Saratoga Springs display can be accessed via the Sassagoula River Cruise from Disney Springs (or you could try driving in and telling security why you’re there; that may work. If you don’t want to pay to park or you don’t have a car, you could start at Disney Springs and use the buses there to get to a Monorail Resort, head to Wilderness Lodge, then Monorail to Epcot and work your way back to Disney Springs to boat over to Saratoga Springs. It sounds like a lot of stops/transfers, but it could be a really relaxing day. Let me know if you still have questions!
April says
When does gingerbread display come down. I will be there January 5th through 8th with my mom which is her 1st visit and would love for her to see them.
DFB Sarah says
April, typically they are up through the first week of January. You might have luck and see it!
Brandon says
I thought I heard there was one at the Polynesian. Yes or no?
DFB Sarah says
Brandon, not that we’ve seen.
