Oktoberfest may be over, but a major change to a cult favorite snack has us coming right back to Epcot’s Germany Pavilion.
A lot is BREWing in this beloved World Showcase pavilion, including the recent snack addition of boozy caramels.
We’re back at Karamell-Küche with an update on a cult favorite snack. We’re talking about their Werther’s Original Hand Crafted Caramel Popcorn.
So, here’s the SCOOP on what’s been changed. If you’ve ever been to World Showcase, you know that familiar heavenly scent of caramel coming from Karamell-Küche. The caramel popcorn had been available in both a small size for for $3.99, and a larger one for $5.99. We stopped in today to discover a BRAND NEW sign, and now only ONE large size available of the delectable treat.
The large option is available for $6.99 or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit. While it has gone up a $1 in price if paying out of pocket, this is still a GREAT value for use of a snack credit on the Dining Plan. If you were one of the people fond of the small-sized bags, we’re sorry for your loss.
Look at ALL that popcorn that’s certain to satisfy even the biggest sweet tooth.

We got the carmel popcorn this week and saved it to eat while back in our room. Not sure if it was the humidity or what but it was stale and chewy, not crisp at all. I was so bummed 🙁
Cindy says
I’ve had the same experience as Christi. I tried to bring some home for a friend. It seems you have to eat it almost immediately as it does not keep very well!
Karen, Disney fan from Ohio says
We LOVE the Karamell Korn… our last trip we purchased 9 bags to enjoy between 4 ladies, lol. I have found that if kept in the waxed paper bags it does not keep that well in the Florida humidity. But if you transfer it to a zip-top plastic bag, it’s great for a few days at least. I’ve had it last for almost a week if I try to eat just a handful at a time ºoº
Nicola says
If you’re taking the Karamell Korn home for yourself or as gifts you can give it a new lease of life by spreading it out on a baking tray and putting it in the oven on high for 3-4 minutes. Make sure you protect your baking tray with non-stick baking paper or aluminium foil though… 😊 And take care not to burn your mouth when you start eating it.
