While Disney’s Animal Kingdom is known for the unique dining options at places like Satu’li Canteen and Tiffins, Pizzafari continues to deliver to those that enjoy a good pizza and/or salad while enjoying the beautiful colors and décor we all love at Animal Kingdom.
Pizzafari also features a Family-Style Dining Option that started last year. Let’s take a deeper look at what this location has to offer!
Atmosphere
Located at the fork between Africa and Pandora, Pizzafari is full of color as well as unique animal-themed designs. The beauty starts at the very front of the location with a tall entrance that includes a stone tile carving of various animals found throughout the Animal Kingdom.
Once you walk into the restaurant, you are met with a huge splash of color with a collection of murals in the ordering area that gives you plenty to feast your eyes before you feed your stomach.
These themes continue into the seating area, where various animal carvings can be found all over. The lights, the pillars throughout the seating area, and even the rafters offer a collection of creatures from the Animal Kingdom.
To add to the fun, the seats even have their own critters with various insects painted on the brightly colored chairs throughout the seating area.
Eats
The menu at Pizzafari has changed in small ways over the years, but the typical favorites remain with staples like Pepperoni Pizza and Cheese Pizza. A few more unique pizza options are on the menu, including a Shrimp Flatbread and a plant-based Sicilian Style Pizza Slice. All pizzas are served with a side Caesar Salad or Garden Salad.
For our ‘za of choice, we went with the Sausage and Pepperoni Pizza for $10.99. This was your typical Disney counter service pizza. There was a LOT of doughy crust and not too much happening in the cheese department. Thankfully the meats on top were plentiful enough, though not as spread out across the pie as we would have liked.
We also decided to try something on the lighter side and went with a Caesar Salad with Chicken for $9.99. The salad comes tossed with a lighter amount of dressing that was perfect for us, as well as plenty of parmesan cheese. The chicken is grilled and cooked well but for a salad entree, we would have liked a little more to go with our salad!
For dessert, the Lion King cupcake, a favorite at Animal Kingdom, is featured on the menu.

We opted for the Cannoli Cake for $4.99 instead. This features a mini cannoli on top of a rich chocolate cake with a thick layer of fudgy ganache on top. We really loved this cake. The cannoli was crispy and the ricotta filling was not too sweet. The cake itself was very moist and full of chocolatey flavor.
For those interested in refreshment options, Pizzafari has a limited menu to choose from. We decided to try the Mandarin Orange Lemonade for $4.99. It features classic Minute Maid Lemonade with a hint of Mandarin Orange. They also offer an alcoholic version with a splash of vodka for $11.00. You can also find a small selection of wines and beer, like Safari Amber, on the menu.
While Pizzafari may not be winning any awards in terms of uniqueness, it continues to be a perfect fit for those fighting a pizza craving while at the park.
If you’re in the mood for sharing, a pizza and the included side salad can easily be shared between 2, making it a good location for a quick and affordable lunch. Plus, with all the colorful decor and details to look for, it’s worth a trip just to take in the sights at Pizzafari.

While I wish the pizza was a little better, we’ve enjoyed stopping here for lunch many times. The theming is fantastic and there are usually lots of places to sit in the air-conditioning. This is great for fussy kids and families who just need a simple meal to recharge.

We’re starting to believe you guys can’t say a bad thing about anything Disney related. Tried Tusker House on your advice. Horrible. Have tried Pizzafari in the past. Never been good. Honest reviews would be a lot more helpful than this one. We all know Pizzafari sucks at making pizza. Can you just not bring yourself to say it???
