A Christmas Fantasy Parade

While we’ve been snacking on treats like the Raspberry Mascarpone Yule Log, Peppermint Churro, and the Caramel Pecan Brownie Parfait, we’re trying a twist on a classic dessert for the holidays in Disney California Adventure!

The Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Funnel Cake is the like Halloween, Thanksgiving dinner, AND Christmas dessert combined into one treat at the Hungry Bear Restaurant.

Of course, Hungry Bear is the epitome of all things Funnel Cake in Walt’s original park. We’ve had SO many goodies here, including the still-dream-about-it-on-the-regular Churro funnel cake! And now they’ve introduced another seasonal situation!

The huge funnel cake is topped with pumpkin pie cheesecake mousse, graham cracker streusel and crumbles, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream. Sounds AMAZING, right?!?

The funnel cake is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with a sweet and delicious batter, as per usual at HBR. And here’s where things get interesting, one of our reporters felt like each separate part of the funnel cake tastes great on its own, but the combination made the texture super weird. It was creamy, crunchy, sticky, and gooey somehow all at the same time??

While another reporter loved the blend of textures and flavors enough to say that this was one of their FAVORITE holiday treats of the season. They didn’t mind the sticky, gooey, and crunchy blend AT ALL. Instead, they raved about how yummy the pumpkin pie cheesecake mousse was on top of their massive funnel cake.

If you’re worried about texture overload, maybe ask for that ice cream and whipped cream on the side! Then, you should be left with a delicious Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Funnel Cake! If you aren’t too worried, get those hands dirty and dive on in, because the flavors of this treat are pretty good!!
