Exploring the Disneyland resorts this week has us saying “So, THIS is Christmas!”
Holiday decorations have decked the halls of the Disneyland resorts and we are oh, so excited! There’s nothing that makes us feel quite as jolly as all the garland, tinsel, and lights. Add a colossal gingerbread house and we don’t want to leave the lobbies. With the Disney California Adventure Festival of Holidays in full swing, it’s positively WONDERFUL that the resorts now match the spirit of the park!
Grand Californian Hotel
Let’s start off by swinging by the Grand Californian which has a pretty interesting holiday fixture — a MASSIVE gingerbread house! Sure, this fixture is a lot smaller than the monolithic structure at Disney World’s Grand Floridian, but it is still super impressive! While it looks like it’s still under awaiting finishing touches, we’re still in love.
Add in that this house features our fave chipmunk duo getting into trouble, and we’re in LOVE! Bonus: the stockings above the fireplace are themed after Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto. How CUTE!
If you’re lovin’ the gingerbread house at Grand Californian, there’s a couple special events so that you can get in on the confectionery fun for yourself! Sign up to build your own Gingerbread House with all the necessary supplies (ingredients?) and some bonus gifts to take home! This event occurs throughout late November and December and is $70 per person.
Orrrrr join in on a meet-and-greet with one of the pastry chefs who helped to craft such a sweet structure! There will be a member of the team hanging out in the lobby for Wednesdays and Saturdays through the season.
And, of course, the atmosphere wouldn’t be complete if that Gingerbread house wasn’t nestled in a lobby that’s completely covered in Christmas cheer! There’s some gorgeous garland on the walls and balconies of the lobby and a towering Christmas tree!
Disneyland Hotel
Over at the whimsical Disneyland Hotel, there are some super cute and unique decorations too! Look at this adorbs holiday display with “Happy Holidays” written in a variety of languages! This could be a super cute photo op.
There’s also some Christmas trees with a twist spread out in the lobby. We love the neon lighting that match the playful themes of Disneyland Hotel.
The tinsel trees make for super fun decor. We definitely dig these blue ones. Check out those MASSIVE ornaments!
Paradise Pier Hotel
And last, but certainly not least is a super beach-y set of decorations over at Paradise Pier Hotel. The lobby is sporting a massive tree with some seriously sunny flair.
The tree is on a base that looks just like a sandy shore and there are surfboards and seashells tucked in between the gifts. Cowabunga!
All together, these three resorts really have us in the Christmas spirit!
