The 2019 Epcot International Festival of the Holidays will be returning November 29, 2019 through December 30, 2019. In addition to the Candlelight Processional and stunning holiday decor, our highlight each year is the FOOD (duh!) featured at the Holiday Kitchens around World Showcase.
We had previously shared all the booth and menu items to be featured at this year’s festival, but now we’ve got a first look at some of the new food!
In addition to some returning favorites (like the slow-roasted turkey at the American Holiday Table), Disney has shared some new items!
Thanks to Disney Parks Blog we now have the official foodie guide and a first peek at some brand new dishes! We’re so happy to see the return of the family-friendly Holiday Cookie Stroll. The Bavaria Holiday Kitchen in Germany is featuring a new Linzer cookie this year that will be a part of the stroll. The Feast of The Three Kings Kitchen will also be featuring a new cookie, the totally yummy looking chocolate crinkle cookie.
Just like last year, you’ll find a Cookie Stroll page in your Festival of the Holidays Passport (these are free!). This page will list the booth locations of holiday cookies around the Festival. If you’re up for a sweet challenge, you can purchase five cookies throughout the Festival and collect a stamp at each food booth where the cookie is found.
This year’s completer cookie is a Mickey cookie topped with a Santa hat!
The L’Chaim! Holiday Kitchen will once again be featuring the totally addictive Pastrami on Rye but joining the lineup will be a new Smoked Salmon Potato Latke. A new beverage offering includes Shmaltz Brewing Company Chanukah Hanukkah Pass the Beer. To Life!
Refreshment Port near the Canada Pavilion will be featuring yet another twist on classic Poutine. The Turkey Poutine returns but this year the base is no longer sweet potato fries — classic fries take their place. Replacing the eggnog shake will be T.G. Lee Eggnog, available non-alcoholic or with spiced rum.
Our northern neighbors at The Yukon Holiday Kitchen in the Canada Pavilion will be featuring a new Canadian Wild Rice and Ham Soup with Almonds served with a Pretzel Roll. You had us at PRETZEL ROLL!
The Le Marche de Noel Holiday Kitchen in France will be offering a new Rillette de Saumon, which is Salmon Spread with House-made bread. There’s also a new Frozen Hot Chocolate Martini: Grey Goose Vanilla Vodka and Chocolate Milk that sounds uhhhhhhmazing!
The Shi Wasu Holiday Kitchen in Japan will be featuring a new dish, the insta-worthy Chirashi Sushi Tree. In the shape of a Christmas tree, this dish features Sashimi-grade Tuna, Salmon, Ikura, and Yellowtail with Vegetables decorated on a bed of Rice.
The Tuscany Holiday Kitchen in Italy will be featuring a new pasta dish, Collezione Barilla. The bowl of deliciousness will feature Pennette Pasta with Sweet Sausage and Caramelized Onions all in a Creamy Sauce. (now THAT’s amore!)
The Bavaria Holiday Kitchen in Germany will be featuring an authentic Pork Schnitzel with Mushroom Sauce and Spatzle along with a great selection of drinks (we’re talking the return of Schöfferhofer Pomegranate Hefeweizen). PROST!
The Shanghai Holiday Kitchen in China will be offering up a new Chengdu Spicy Street Fries. This looks like the perfect dish to soak up all that eggnog you’re sipping OR the 3 new holiday cocktails this booth will be serving up (they tend to be pretty heavy-handed at this booth — in a good way!).
The Firework features Jose Cuervo Tequila Gold, Vodka, Mango Syrup, Orange Juice and Soda Water. For something with a more dessert twist, the cleverly named Marco Boba features Amaretto, Iced Coffee, Milk and Boba. The Lucky Mo features Peach Schnapps, Peach Syrup, Orange Juice, Pineapple Juice and Coconut Milk.
The fiesta gets going in Mexico at Las Posados Holiday Kitchen where they are featuring two new dishes. The Tamal de Pollo features Braised Chipotle Chicken served in a Corn Masa with Yellow Mole and topped with Toasted Pumpkin Seeds, Queso Cotija and Crema Mexicana (Bonus: this one is also Gluten Free).
To curb that sweet tooth the Horchata Cheesecake will feature a Creamy Rice-based Cheesecake and is served with Cajeta Sauce. Last year’s La Posado Margarita got an upgrade and is now the Horchata Margarita. Be careful with this one! The cocktail features Tequila, Horchata Rum, Cinnamon Whisky, and Agua de Horchata served on the rocks.
Each Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company will be featuring a different festive drink. The Choco-Latte: Latte with Chocolate Sauce and Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur will be available from Future World East while the Canada location will be featuring the Ginger Chai Madness: Chai Latte with Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur and Gingerbread Syrup.
Their Showcase Plaza location will be serving a Coconut Snowstorm: Latte with RumChata and Coconut Syrup. The American Adventure will be featuring Toffee Coffee: a Latte with Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur and Sea Salt Caramel Toffee Sauce (We’ve seen a similar version of this one to celebrate the opening of the Skyliner). How AMAZING do each of these sound?
Our stomachs are rumbling already. We can’t WAIT to try all these new options and more when the 2019 Epcot International Festival of the Holidays returns on November 29. Be on the lookout for our coverage of every single item!
