An exciting transformation is happening over at Disneyland.
With the revamping of Downtown Disney and the upcoming Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure, Disneyland is also making changes to their accommodation options.
According to the Orange County Register, Disneyland has submitted an application to the city of Anaheim for a development review of a Disney Vacation Club Tower.
The 12-story time-share tower would be next to the Disneyland hotel and feature 350-rooms. This news comes after Disney canceled plans for the luxury hotel that was set for Downtown Disney.
The project isn’t anticipated to be completed until at least 2022 and the design will complement the retro features of the Disneyland hotel.
Disney Vacation Club Senior Vice President Terri Schultz said in a statement: “We look forward to working closely with the Disneyland Resort, the City of Anaheim and engaging our neighbors on this project, which would also create new jobs and spending in the community, as well as generate additional revenue for the city.”
Currently, the only DVC options at Disneyland are the 71 rooms at Disney Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. This property would be the 17th DVC property following the upcoming opening of Walt Disney World’s Riviera Resort and the upcoming Magic Kingdom area project, Reflections Lakeside Resort.

Reading this article right before the article about the new Tomorrowland entrance makes me think that maybe the placement of the new DVC will be over by Tomorrowland, not by the DLH, as currently imagined.
