Howdy, friends! It’s time for another roundup of What’s New in Epcot!
This is where we take you along with us on a quick trip to Disney World to see what new construction, food, and merch we can spot!
It was super-people-y at Epcot this weekend! So busy, in fact, the line for Mexico pavilion’s La Cava del Tequila was out the door — and it even overflowed into the Coco exhibit by the entrance!
And since Saturday, November 23rd was the last official day of this year’s Epcot Food and Wine Festival, there’s been A LOT happening to get ready for Epcot’s Festival of the Holidays — which kicks off this Friday! (Click here to get an exclusive sneak peek of the 2019 Festival of the Holidays food booths, entertainment, and MERCH!) We’ve got quite a bit of ground to cover, so let’s get crackin’!
Epcot Construction Update
Future World
Construction is chugging along on Space 220 — which is now being speculated to open in February of 2020. We can’t wait to blast off into outer space with this out-of-this-world new table service restaurant!
Read more about Space 220 here!
Meanwhile, the Guardians of the Galaxy Coaster construction continues. Not much has changed with the new ride’s entrance which still closely resembles the old facade of Epcot’s former Universe of Energy attraction.
But we can’t wait to ride the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind which is slated to open in 2021 — just in time for Disney World’s 50th-anniversary celebration!

World Showcase
Construction continues on a structure rumored to be more restrooms coming to the walkway between World Showcase and Future World.
While the barrier remains up, a lot of the scaffolding has come down recently, which might mean we’ll soon be able to confirm if this new building will be additional restrooms — or something else! Stay tuned!
Epcot Food Update
Sunshine Seasons
Who wouldn’t love to gobble up the adorable Thanksgiving Cupcake that Sunshine Seasons is currently servin’ up? Plus, he’s super limited-edition and will only be available through Thursday, November 28! Better trot over there FAST if you don’t want to miss out on this turkey treat!

Refreshment Port
As we made our way through Africa, we noticed their Frozen Coke machine was finally up and runnin’ again! It’d been a long time since we enjoyed a Frozen Elephant here! Made with a mix of frozen Coke and Amarula Cream Liqueur, the Frozen Elephant used to be on the menu here, but even though it’s no it has disappeared, you can still ask a Cast Member to make it for you!
Find out more about Refreshment Port’s Frozen Elephant here!
While strolling through Morrocco, we noticed Cast Members were showing guests how to properly pour tea!
Guests were welcomed to come up and try it out — using lukewarm water instead of tea, just in case!
We love seeing Cast Members come up with new and interesting cultural activities that teach us while we’re havin’ fun!
Epcot Merchandise Update
Future World
Mouse Gear
World Showcase
Karamell Küche was selling these adorable Fröhiche Weihnachten Chocolate Boxes for $12.99. How cute is this packaging — almost too adorable to cover up with wrapping paper!

And at Weinkeller we noticed they were selling these Red Wine Stars for $6.49 which are exactly what they sound like — chocolate filled with WINE!!!
Next door at Die Weihnachts Ecke (Germany Christmas Shop) they were selling these sweet Chocolate Advent Calendars for $3.99. Each little door has a chocolate treat inside to countdown to Christmas with! There were a bunch of festive designs including this jolly-looking Santa Claus version…
…and this happy looking Ho Ho waving hello next to a Christmas tree!
How tasty does this sweet little Gingerbread Nutcracker at Die Weihnachts Ecke look? He’s handmade in Germany and costs $245!
We also had a chance to listen to a fabulous German acapella group! These four lovely ladies are called Chili da Mur, and hearing them perform was definitely a highlight of our recent visit!
At The Fjording, Frozen Phone Cases were all the rage! We saw a flurry of new designs including this “way too cool” Olaf Phone Case for $29.99…
…or this “playing it cool” Kristoff Phone Case for $29.99!
There was also this “icy magic” Elsa Phone Case for $29.99!

And over in France, we noticed the Cast Members had cooked up some new parasol designs — including this cute one inspired by our favorite “little chef”, Remy! (We can’t wait for his new ride to open next year!)
Read more about Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure here!
We also spotted this new Bon Appetit France Shirt for $29.99 at Les Vins des Chefs de France. We think its the message is totally très chic, n’est-ce pas?
Well, friends, that’s it for this edition of What’s New in Epcot — until next time! We’ll be back soon with more food, construction, end merch news — especially when Festival of the Holidays kicks off on Friday, November 29th! They’ve already begun to set the stage for this year’s Candlelight Processional!
We’ll be back in Epcot reporting to you LIVE, so you won’t miss a minute of the action! Until then, have fun prepping for your Thanksgiving feast!
