It’s a tale as old as time – now with a twist!
There’s a lot to come with Epcot’s multi-year transformation, but one new addition is just around the corner! The new Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along is set to debut in January 2020 at the France Pavilion, and today we got to be their guest for a preview of the new show!
We’ve been eagerly awaiting the new show, which joins the “Impressions de France” film as part of the France Pavilion’s entertainment! Shrouded in mystery, all we really knew about the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along prior to the preview was that the show was directed by Don Hahn, who was the producer of BOTH the animated and live-action versions of the beloved Beauty and the Beast films! Just that bit of information was enough to get us all kinds of excited to sing our hearts out to the classic tunes from this 90s Ren fave!
Having now seen the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along for ourselves, we’re happy to report that this show is a delightful addition to Epcot! We were introduced to the preview by Don Hahn himself, and sat back in delight as we realized that the Sing-Along is animated and narrated by Mrs. Potts herself – Angela Lansbury!
Now, you’re probably wondering what that “twist” is that has been teased. Well, *SPOILER ALERT* for those that want to stay surprised, but for everyone else, we can tell you that the “twist” of the show is that we find out LeFou was the one behind Belle and the Beast getting together in the film!
It’s explained that LeFou orchestrated sending Maurice to the castle, as we see in the film, and that he made sure Belle went to save her father. A few new scenes of LeFou were added to the story (ie, you can actually spot LeFou playing the violin in the ballroom scene!), each crafted by the original animators of the film, with the original actor once again lending his voice to the role. Disney Imagineers decided to add this element to the show to give audiences a “twist” on a classic tale, much like the Maleficient films.
Five classic songs were featured, and will definitely have audiences singing along! We think you’ll be jumping to be a guest at this totally fun twist on the tale as old as time, and we can’t wait to hear everyone’s thoughts when the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along opens in January 2020!

How is it going to run? Are guests seated in the same theater and is this running every other show with Impressions de France? Thanks so much
DFB Sarah says
Crystal, our expectation is that the two shows will alternate, yes.
Steven in NJ says
I can’t wait for this and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Train to open for our April trip!!! Are advanced reservations required for this Beauty and The Beast Sing Along show???
Leslie says
Is this something you need a FASTPASS for? We are taking our 5 year old granddaughter in Feb and very excited Beauty and the Beast sing along will be open.
DFB Sarah says
Leslie, FastPass isn’t offered for Impressions de France, so it likely won’t be an option anyway. But if it is, you likely wouldn’t need one.
DFB Sarah says
Steven, Impressions de France does not have FastPass, so we don’t expect the Sing-Along to use it either.
Kate Harris says
How long is the Beauty and the Beast sing a long?
DFB Sarah says
Kate, Impressions de France is about 25 minutes long, so I expect it’s around that. Let me chat with the reporters who experienced it, and I’ll update if it’s dramatically different.
Morgan P. says
I am so excited to see this! I am also very happy that they are keeping Impressions de France!
Kathy says
Bravo for just “adding “ the new show and not taking away the gorgeous reveal of “Mon France”!
