Heading to Disney World anytime soon?
While one of our favorite parts of planning a trip to the Disney parks over the last couple of years has been deciding which color of MagicBand we’d be sportin’ during our vacay, the choice became even harder in the spring of this year when Disney gave us the option to upgrade from a solid color MagicBand to a character MagicBand — for a small additional cost, of course!
But that cost was worth it in our minds! We love hangin’ at the parks with our favorite Disney character on our wrist! Hai there, Vacation Genie wearing a cute Goofy hat!
And with new MagicBand designs appearing on My Disney Experience on the reg, today we just spotted two unique options! So far, we’ve seen several MagicBand styles including Disney characters, attractions, and food. But this pair of new arrivals are designed for The Grand Floridian and Disney’s Riviera Resort — the first time we recall ever seeing Disney World resort-specific MagicBands!
Both of the new Resort MagicBands are now available for pre-order on My Disney Experience for $20, while solid color MagicBands are still complimentary. We can’t say how long these MagicBand styles will be sticking around, though, so you may want to jump online quick and reserve one before they sell-out!
And if you don’t see the new Grand Floridian or Riviera Resort MagicBand right away, our best advice is to check back early and often! Choosing to upgrade your MagicBand can be a little glitchy. Sometimes certain styles disappear only to reappear moments (or days) later, which can be somewhat frustrating!
There’s still good news though, in case you don’t get the one you REALLY wanted! There’s plenty of lovely MagicBand designs available for sale throughout the parks — including this adorable new Marie MagicBand and this cute Baby Yoda MagicBand! So best of luck to you snaggin’ the style that you want!
