Hey everybody! It’s time for this week’s roundup of What’s New in Epcot!
This is our weekly magic journey around this Disney World park to see what new construction, food, and merch we can spot!
There’s been a lot of stuff happening at Epcot since our last visit — not to mention Festival of the Holidays is still going strong! So without further delay, let’s get right down to it!

Construction Update in Epcot
Future World
We noticed some of the construction walls in Future World were now decorated with murals depicting how the park will look when the Epcot transformation is finished!
That’s right, folks! “Transforming” is definitely the best word to describe Epcot’s Future World in its current state this week! But at least having this concept artwork to look at during all of this construction will be a nice reminder of what’s to come down the road!

While earlier we’d seen the Fountain View Starbucks get gutted, the building has now been demolished to just its metal structure.
It’s a strange sight to be able to see right through the former Starbucks! We can even make out Journey into Imagination with Figment on the other side! Bananas!
Meanwhile over by Test Track where the Donut Box had been during Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival, there are now construction walls up directly across from Cool Wash.
And over by Journey Into Imagination with Figment, we spotted a new mysterious booth had popped up!
No word yet on whether this kiosk will be food or merchandise-related, but we’ll update you as soon as it opens!
The American Adventure Pavilion
There was some construction happening over by Regal Eagle Smokehouse this week. The American-style barbecue joint is slated to open sometime this month, but it’s hard to say how much longer we’ll be waiting for it to be servin’ up its smoky delights!
See our first look and tasting notes of some of the new Regal Eagle eats here!
The work appears to be focused mainly on the facade of Regal Eagle Smokehouse, so hopefully not much longer! Fingers crossed!

And as we were leaving The American Adventure Pavilion, we stumbled upon this unusual-looking box. It was wrapped just like a Christmas present, but with construction netting material instead of gift wrap! Not really sure what this strange box could be yet (well, we have an idea, but it’s not confirmed yet…so stay tuned)!
Earlier this week we told you about the new potential Starbucks location that seemed to virtually appear overnight!
The new construction located between Future World and the World Showcase hasn’t been confirmed as the temporary Starbucks location yet, but we have a sneaking suspicion there’s a familiar-looking mermaid hiding under that dark piece of fabric on the building’s top right corner!

Food Update in Epcot
China Pavilion
Over in the China pavilion, we happened about the glorious Cotton Candy Santa Hat! The special holiday offering costs $15 and is only available at certain times! Find it at House of Good Fortune and believe us when we tell ya, this thing is seriously the CUTEST!

Merchandise Update in Epcot
Mouse Gear
At Mouse Gear we were totally enamored with this new 2020 Phone Case for $29.99! It’s just one of several new pieces of 2020 merch that have flooded into Disney World recently!
Check out more of the 2020 merch we’ve spotted throughout Disney World here!
Well, folks! That’s it for this edition of What’s New in Epcot — until next time! We’ll be back with more construction, food, and merchandise updates for ya just as soon as we refuel the Dream Mobile —now, where’d that little rascal Figment run off to? See you guys real soon!
