There’s are SO many treats out in Disney World right now for the holiday season!

And, while we’re loving all those Christmas goodies, we’re excited to see that Animal Kingdom Tasting Sampler is back with new and old treats for guests to try! And, we’re taking you with us to snack on some savory and sweet eats all around the park!

Before we get to all the food, we’ve got some deets for you on the Tasting Sampler (if you’d like to join us on our snack-filled stroll).

The sampler costs $50 and includes two digital value cards: one $50 card that can be used at over 40 outdoor food and beverage locations throughout the park (and does not expire), and a bonus $10 card that can be used at the following quick-service restaurants after 4 PM from December 22nd, 2019 through January 4th, 2020: Restaurantosaurus, Pizzafari, Flame Tree Barbecue, and Satu’li Canteen. Sounds like a pretty awesome deal, right??

BUT you don’t need to purchase the Tasting Sampler to enjoy these tasty treats! They’re available every day for all guests! And, without further adieu, let’s check out the eats and treats in Animal Kingdom!

Discovery Island

Over at Isle of Java, there are four festive drinks for Christmastime! You can sip on the Gingerbread Latte, Peppermint Hot Cocoa, Sea Salt Caramel Hot Cocoa, and S’mores Hot Cocoa (and all of them even count for a Disney Dining Plan snack credit!).

While we told you that Terra Treats would be serving up some pizza as a part of the Tasting Sampler, we were VERY excited to find a new cupcake there too!

The Chef’s Feature Pizza is a slight twist on your regular Disney pizzas since it’s a WHITE pizza (no tomato sauce here!) with piled with LOTS of cheese, chicken, and red peppers.

While it might look like a delicious plate of pasta, the Spaghetti and Meatball Cupcake is a sweet take on the classic dish.

The Spaghetti and Meatball Cupcake is an orange cake with cannoli cream filling, topped with a vanilla cake “meatball,” buttercream “spaghetti,” and fondant “sauce.” Now we just need someone to share it with, like in Lady and the Tramp!

We’re ready to chomp on down the newest items coming to the Smiling Crocodile (obviously with a smile).

You can take a bite of the Pulled Pork Street Tacos with cheese and pickled onions that we saw this spring…

…and the new Pork Tamale with tomatillo sauce, red chile sauce, and jalapeño cream sauce! If you aren’t hungry yet, you definitely are now.

You can also have the sweet and savory Pulled Pork Jelly Doughnut Sandwich with cole slaw and pork sandwich in between a jelly-filled donut! Need we say more? ;D

DinoLand, U.S.A.

After you’ve had your fill of pork eats and dessert, you can head on over to Dino Diner, where there are plenty of things to satisfy your crunchy and salty cravings!

…we’re snacking on the Chips and Queso this year, which are new to this location!

Asia

The Anandapur Ice Cream Truck is getting in on the sweet action with the Forbidden Mountain Cone (oooh, mysterious!).

The chocolate and vanilla ice cream is topped with blue and snowflake sprinkles and a white chocolate Yeti piece. He might look a lil scary, but maybe he just needs a warm hug!!

After all that ice cream goodness, you can follow it up with sumthin’ a lil more savory. Mr. Kamal’s is serving up the same crispy Fried Chicken Dumplings…

(Just look at all that filling and the Ponzu dipping sauce! YUM!!)

…and Kamal’s Fries with four (!!!) dipping sauces that we’ve seen before.

Close by, Caravan Road has replaced the Korean Fiery Beef Slider and Tuna Bao with the new Ginger Slaw Dog and Char Siu Pork!

The Ginger Slaw Dog comes with a mini sausage and pickled ginger slaw sandwiched between a soft bun. If you’re looking for an interesting twist on a hot dog, you’ll want to try this one!

While we loved the Ginger Slaw Dog, our favorite item from the Tasting Sampler this year happens to be the Char Siu Pork served with sticky rice. The pork is balanced with just enough sauce, easily making it the most flavorful snack of the day!

Africa

Kusafiri Bakery is bringing back one of our favorites again this year with the Curry Trio with Shrimp, Chicken, and Vegetable Curries. (Talk about a 3-for-1 deal!)

And, although it’s not necessarily one of the featured items on this year’s tasting sampler, the Bloody Mary at the Dawa Bar is a MUST-HAVE while you’re in Animal Kingdom!

Although Bloody Mary drinks usually have a stalk of celery in them, the Dawa version now features crispy seasoned bacon as the finishing touch on a GREAT drink!
