The new plans prevent ordering 3 adult qs to feed 2ad 2ch. This was a tip from dfb to save a quick service credit for breakfast. Am I right this would no longer work?
Bickford says
HIP HIP HOORAY! Our “Fairy Godmother” (aka our travel agent) told us that we qualified for the free dining!
Now, even with the upgrade to Standard Dining, we have a bit more money to spend on our September vacation.
bri says
Free dining has always been a deal breaker for us, it makes a big difference for our planning. I am shocked at how super rectrictive the dates availability is, as well as the super short booking period. We are taking a break, after 10 yearly trips! Love WDW, but need a break too!
Tracy says
Any advice on how to split a stay? My original trip is from 7-4 to 7-10. I can rebook to get the free DDP for the 5th to 10th but not sure what to do about our arrival day. Thank you!
DFB Sarah says
Tracy, talk to the Disney rep when you rebook to get Free Dining. Or, if you’re trying to book Free Dining online, do that, then give Disney a call about 7/4, that way you don’t miss out on Free Dining.
DFB Sarah says
Karen, the policy has long been stated this way: that kids need to order from a kids’ menu when it’s available. Disney could enforce that policy more stringently at any time, so it’s something we’ll have to keep an eye on.
Linda Jursz says
How does the free dining plan work?
Mike says
Annoying it makes you get the park hopper…
Doesn’t seem like that is a free perk as well? I didn’t do the math, but just a hunch.
Melissa says
I wonder if Disney will release more dates later this year like they did last year? These dates are so restricted. Wow!
Randi says
I’m really lucky that my dates fall in the window in September! Took a while navigating the website this morning, along with a couple of phone calls, but I managed to get the promotion for my trip! (Now I gotta really hit the gym beforehand- need room for all those snacks!)
Jessica says
I got the email before 5 this morning from my wonderful travel agent! We qualified and actually were able to get the park hopper and still saved us over $1,000 from our original travel plans! This is beyond exciting for us being it’s our first time going!
DFB Sarah says
Wow, Jessica!
DFB Sarah says
Mike, we definitely advise people crunch numbers because you’re right that it might not be a great deal for everyone.
Kirk H. says
Are these dates typically “slower” times for Disney?
Arlene Brady says
When I looked at the table service restaurants in Disney Springs participating for 2020 in the dip I was surprised to see that most were not participating. Is this an error on Disney site or a major change in dining plan?
Linda Parish says
I’ve had my reservations since July 5th and we’re going on Oct 4th – 10th and staying a Caribbean Beach Resort. Hope those days will open up for the free dining as well.
DFB Sarah says
Arlene, most will likely be added; sometimes these restaurants operated by entities other than Disney take some time to finalize contracts for DDP. We’re checking into them!
DFB Sarah says
Kirk, that’s the idea. Although many will argue there’s not “slow” season anymore…
June says
We are arriving on 9/6 through 9/15. We were able to get the table service free dining for entire trip. We are staying at All Star Sports. We had stayed there before, we like it very much. Saved a lot of money $$$.
Joanne says
Do you know if this is available to uk residents please
DFB Sarah says
Joanne, Disney typically designates certain offers to UK residents, including (at times) free dining. YOu’d want to give Disney a call to see if you can book the standard free dining as a UK resident.
