While 2019 brought us Disney’s Skyliner, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and of course, Rise of the Resistance, we’re ready for 2021! That’s because Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be opening this year and we can’t wait to “rat around” on this new Disney attraction!
Here’s the scoop on everything you need to know about this fabulous new ride coming to Walt Disney World!
Alright, friends! It’s time to dish out all the info we know at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure so far!
We’ll be trying not to include any spoilers here — rather just consider this a DFB amuse-bouche to whet the appetite and awaken your palette!
What is Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure?
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is a trackless 4D dark ride based on the 2007 Disney/Pixar animated film, Ratatouille. It will be a replica of Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy that opened in Disneyland Paris in 2014.
Once you are “shrunk down” to the size of one of Remy’s vermin friends, you’ll scamper through Gusteau’s Restaraunt in a rat-shaped ride vehicle encountering various characters from the movie along with the sounds, sights and smells of this highly-acclaimed Parisian eatery.
There will also be special water and heat effects — but we don’t want to ruin the surprise, so that’s all we’re gonna say about that!

Where Will It Be Located?
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is coming to France Pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase.
Construction has been underway on the new attraction’s show building at the back of the France pavilion for some time, located across from where the new International Gateway Skyliner Station is now open.
Inside, you can take a look at some of the unique details that have been added to the space…
…take a peek at the new creperie location that will be opening there…
…and even go inside the new restrooms.
As you soar above the area on the Disney Skyliner, you can even get a glimpse of the rat fountain that will be coming to the space!
We can’t wait to see the rest of the area!

Opening Date
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will open in EPCOT on October 1st, 2021!
On that same day, Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebrations will kick off and La Creperie de Paris (located in this expansion area in the France pavilion near Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure) will also open.

Will there be FastPass and Single Rider?
At this moment, Disney World hasn’t officially made any statements about FastPass or single rider queues for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. However, Disneyland Paris’s version does offer both FastPasses and Single Rider options.
Additionally, if you look closely at the entrance area underneath the sign for the attraction there do appear to be signs for both stand-by and single rider queues as well as FastPass.
How Long Is It?
The duration of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is about 5 minutes.
Is it Family-Friendly?
Yes. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be a fun, thrilling ride for many adults and small children alike.
Quick potential SPOILER sidenote to follow — One scene involves a chase from a meat cleaver-wielding Chef Skinner which might frighten some little kids, but we think the overall impression of the attraction promises to be of a more light-hearted and whimsical nature.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be a delightful addition to Epcot’s World Showcase, and not-to-be missed in our book — right up there with Norway pavilion’s Frozen Ever After!

What Are the Height and Safety Requirements?
According to Disney’s website, guests of any height may ride, and guests of all ages may ride.
According to the Disneyland Paris website, expectant mothers or guests who are sensitive to motion sickness are advised not to ride. We expect a similar advisory will be made for the U.S. version.
Is the Ride Wheelchair Accessible?
According to Disneyland Paris’s Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure’s website, yes, although it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet for the U.S. version. Disneyland Paris’s attraction has specially-adapted ride vehicles for accommodating ECVs and wheelchairs directly without transfer, but guests may also transfer from their wheelchair to standard ride vehicles.

I’ve been to DLP many times and this is an amazing ride. It’s a shame WDW won’t be having Bistrot Chez Remy, the restaurant that goes with the DLP version though.
