Greetings from the future!
If there’s one thing that the world of tomorrow has down, it’s cool murals! We’re keeping an eye on progress on the overhaul to the Tomorrowland entrance in Disneyland and we spotted a BIG sign of progress today. One of the murals that’s set to flank the interior side of the entrance is complete and it is oh, so cool.
We spotted the refurbished mural just inside the Tomorrowland entrance. Can yah see it peeking through the trees? It makes the walk into Tomorrowland have a LOT more chrome to it which definitely adds to the futuristic feel.
It’s located right on the outside of the Star Tours building and it looks just like the concept art for this area. Check out that intricate geometric design and the metallic quality to it. Too cool!
The entrance overhaul should include a similar mural on the other side of the path, a widened walkway, some more “Space Age” spires, and colorful planters too! We’re pumped to see the finished product especially because it looks super sleek in the concept art. We’ll keep you updated with any new progress on the entranceway of tomorrow (Get it, because it’s the future entrance?)!

It isn’t ‘new’ – they painted the old panels in prismatic paint.
Saw it Monday, looks great, but it isn’t a new panel or anything.
Thanks, James!
I’m wondering if that is a signal that Disney will be keeping Star Tours in Tomorrowland permanently, as opposed to replacing it with something else!
