It hasn’t been very long since our last check-in on the presumable walkway which will join Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort to the Magic Kingdom.
But quite a lot has happened in the brief time we’ve been away!
It appears they’ve started establishing the path of the new walkway on the Magic Kingdom-side of the Seven Seas Lagoon.
We saw a bunch of digging had occurred and some earth had been displaced as the new pathway connecting the Grand Floridian to the entrance of the Magic Kingdom begins to take form. Lights have also been installed along the pathway.
And a large piece of metal has been installed along the walkway. This may be used for directional signage, we aren’t entirely sure just yet!
We feel a lot of excitement over the possibility of walking to the Grand Flo (which also has a walkway to Disney’s Polynesian Resort) for a nice stroll (and maybe a cocktail from Enchanted Rose or The Poly’s Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto!) when the Magic Kingdom reaches its mid-day levels of crowdedness.
We ordered everything on the menu at Enchanted Rose! Read our full review HERE!
We’ll continue to monitor the construction and let you know how it progresses! Until then, make sure you sign up for our newsletter so you’ll be the first-to-know all of the changes happening at Disney World!

I’m not quite sure why you keep calling this walkway “potential” and “presumed”. The building plans, which the local authorities had to sign off on, are clearly labeled “Walkway from the Magic Kingdom to the Grand Floridian.”
It doesn’t get much clearer than that.
