We know you’re busy warming up your voice for when the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along debuts this Friday in Epcot’s France pavilion!
But here’s a critical detail we noticed if you’re planning on seeing the show when it opens!
The new Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along will open on January 17th at Palais de Cinéma in Epcot’s World Showcase, but it isn’t taking the place of the longtime-running Impressions de France. Instead, the two films will be sharing the France pavilion theater. And although Disney hasn’t officially published the schedule for when the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along will be running, Disney has updated its hours online for Impressions de France.
Currently, Impressions de France is scheduled to run from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM starting on January 17th and while we can’t confirm the showtimes for Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along yet, it looks like it will take up the earlier, more significant chunk of the day while Impressions de France will be showing for a brief slot of time in the evenings. Of course, this could always change. So, make sure you’re checking your My Disney Experience app for details.
If you really want to see Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along on your next visit to Epcot, keep in mind Impressions de France will begin playing at 7:30 PM, so you’ll want to go before then. And if you’re super-stoked to see the newly-remastered Impressions de France, just know you’ll have to wait until the last hour and a half of the park’s day– and even then you’ll only have a short window of opportunity to enjoy it!
We will update you if any changes are made to the times!

If indeed this schedule is correct, that’s sad news. Impressions de France is a fabulous movie; the music and photography are stunning. There is no way a Beauty and the Beast sing-along can possibly capture the beauty of France like Impressions does. I guess I’m not surprised by the schedule, though. Disney is doing everything possible to reduce Epcot to a movie tie-in, so the original idea of alternating the two shows was probably a non-starter. Anyway, thanks for the heads-up. When we visit this summer, we’ll definitely check the schedule so we can avoid the sing-along and enjoy Impressions again.

I agree with the comment above – I think it’s a real shame Impressions de France is relegated to a side note during a time when people are either having dinner, leaving the park, or getting their fireworks spot, and a movie tie-in sing-along takes its place. To me, the country pavilions are where you learn about the country (which concept is being continued with the new Canada movie) and not just a throw-away IP show. I hope this changes down the road, and Impressions de France gets the showings during the day that it deserves

B, I’m with you. The Impressions de France was always a wonderful place to sit in the afternoon for a cool break. The music was so good (I love Debussy, Saint Saens, Ravel, etc) and the photography was excellent. I don’t know why they have to inundate us with sing alongs since they already have the Beauty and the Beast musical in DHS. The World Showcase should stay the World and not the Disney-fied version of the world. With all the festivals in Epcot, it just make Epcot a place where adults can enjoy themselves, too.

Pure Idiocy with this stupid schedule, Impressions de France is basically getting the ax, it means its on the way out all together!! I would urge everyone to complain (nicely) to guest relations by email and in person at the park.

We were there when it opened. We were not impressed with it at all. But feel free to judge for yourself. It’s all video with nothing live at all. Again not our favorite.
