What McDonald’s looked like
That’s because while the former on-property McDonald’s located over by the Disney’s Animal Kingdom used to look like this, it now looks like…
…THIS! Yowzah! It looks like the restaurant is being completely REMODELED! And to us, it appears the new Disney World McDonald’s will be much bigger than its ancestor! At least that’s what we’re hoping!
Construction at McDonald’s
The McDonald’s location closed last October to undergo a lengthy refurb. We did have our suspicions this was going to be an extensive renovation when an employee at the restaurant told us they wouldn’t be re-opening until sometime in March of 2020. Actually, this construction site kinda reminds us of the teardown happening over at Epcot’s Future World where we’ve seen the former Fountain View Starbucks and Club Cool ripped down to just the studs!

It looks like we’ll be waiting quite a while longer before we enjoy some Disney park Mickey D’s again — you know, the OTHER MICKEY, not the MOUSE!

McD’s rebuilds go fast. Lightning fast compared to anything Disney does. I would expect this location to open before 1 July, if not much sooner.
