We’ve been hanging around Disney California Adventure A LOT lately! We were here for Anaheim Ducks Day, not to mention our playdate with the Bing Bong Krispy Treat!
And while we recently stopped by Award Wieners to try their new savory Asada Fries (read about ’em HERE!), we just HAD to sample their sweet fry offering as well — the Apple Pie Funnel Cake Fries!
The Apple Pie Funnel Cake Fries are tasty strips of fried funnel cake batter which resemble French fries, that are tossed in a cinnamon-sugar coating, and then are topped with apple pie filling, a generous dollop of whipped cream, drizzled with caramel sauce, and dusted with a sprinkling of streusel crumbles! Swoon!
And just how GOOD does this thing look?! We’re literally tripping over ourselves as we look for a spot to hunker down with this plate of deliciousness!
The flavors are PURE Americana! That apple pie filling is MY-OH-MY tasty with the crispy, but the soft-in-the-middle funnel cake fries is really the star of the show! We just wish there were a few more of them for dunking in all that delicious whipped cream and caramel sauce! And, this is kind of a fork-necessary situation (I know, who eats fries with a FORK?), but the pieces of apple are rather large and unpleasant to pick up with your fingers! We’re talkin’ Sticky City!
We scored the Apple Pie Funnel Cake Fries for $8.99 at Award Wieners in Disney California Adventure — and don’t forget! The park’s annual Lunar New Year celebration kicks off TOMORROW, which means there’ll be EVEN MORE eats to try at the many festival food booths! Tomorrow can’t come soon enough (we’re hungry for ALL the Lunar New Year eats!), so check back as we’ll be trying and reviewing ’em live from the party!

How about a show on keto friendly or healthier snacks on the DDP for each park?
