It’s time to explore this awesome planet that we call home, folks!
That’s right — after learning about the “family”-iar host of the show, we are SUPER excited that Awesome Planet is officially open in The Land Pavilion in Epcot! (Yaaaas!)
Awesome Planet is an “on-screen exploration of the realm we call home”, which “showcases the spectacular beauty, diversity and dynamic story of our earth with all the grandeur guests have come to expect.” Certainly a perfect fit for The Land Pavilion!
Ty Burrell voices our travels around the big blue world during Awesome Planet, first narrating how the Earth was created over the course of 4 billion years. From a huge collision to the formation of the moon, our planet has been through a LOT. (That’s why it’s so awesome, obvi!)
Awesome Planet then gave us some deets on where the best places would be to live (we think the Most Magical Place on Earth is at the top of our list)! If you like the cold, you could live in the North and South Pole. Buuut, if you like to make your own food, you could live in the grasslands instead!
The film detailed each environmental area, including the sandy desert, and how our ecosystems are being destroyed. However, Awesome Planet left the audience with a hopeful note by giving them a way to help through the Disney Conservation Fund and by promoting awareness through the hashtag #EpcotAwesomePlanet on social media!
Our beautiful planet is… well, pretty AWESOME. And, we think that Awesome Planet’s message is a wonderful addition to the new films coming to Epcot! After you’ve watched the environmental film at The Land, you can head over to watch the NEW Canada Far and Wide film in the Canada Pavilion, as well as the NEW Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along in the France Pavilion!
Be our guest, and check out our preview of the new Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along here!
And don’t forget! The 2020 Epcot International Festival of the Arts officially kicked off today. You can follow along with us as we report LIVE from the park here!Â
