It’s a big year at Disneyland! Why? Because it’s the Year of the Mouse!
We’re reporting LIVE from the Lunar New Year Festival at Disney California Adventure and we’re having a blast! Of course, the festival is home to a bunch of yummy eats at the Festival Marketplaces and we’re swinging by Longevity Noodle Co. to get a taste of some seriously good noods!
Longevity Noodle Co. is one of four festival booths that are serving up a variety of Asian dishes inspired by the cultures of China, Korea, and Vietnam. All four booths are available starting TODAY and running through the Festival’s end on February 9th. Obvi, we love us some noodles (who doesn’t?), so we were pumped to check out the options at Longevity this year!
Eats
We were excited to see some new items and a returning faves on the 2020 menu. For instance, the refreshing vegetarian Vegetable Egg Roll and Chilled Sesame-Garlic Noodles dish is back again for $7.00! We loved the texture on this guy last year so it was good to see it gracing the menu again.
Everything else on the menu is NEW this year though and of course, we tried alllll the options. First up, we snagged the Chicken Meatballs and Lo Mein Noodles for $7.50. This hearty portion is served with Cabbage Salad and an Apple-Ginger Sauce.
And for dessert? There’s a NEW super interesting Black Sesame Mochi Donut for $6.00! This treat is a chewy Mochi Donut topped with a Black Sesame Icing.
We thought the donut was moist, and had a really good texture. It was soft and just a little dense, but not too sweet at all. The seeds gave it a nice crunch!
Drinks
There’s no mixed drink option at this booth, however, beer-lovers can try out the Tsingtao Lager, a pale lager from China for $10.00. It’s the same beer that Shanghai Holiday Kitchen was serving last year at Epcot’s Festival of the Holidays!
And if you want to opt for a non-alcoholic option (or you need a kick in the pants to get you through all the festival fun!), you can snag the Vietnamese Cold Brew for $6.50.
This drink is a French Bistro Cold Brew with Sweetened Condensed Coconut Milk, House-made Whipped Coconut Cream, and Cacao Powder Topping. If you’re a fan of Vietnamese Cold Brew (which is VE-RY sweet and rich thanks to that condensed milk, YOLO) or sweet lattes, you’ll probably love this drink! If you prefer to drink your cold brew straight up, though, you may find this guy a little TOO sweet!
Overall
We really enjoy the selection of eats at Longevity Noodle Co. this year! If you’re looking for some tasty noodles or a sweet Vietnamese Cold Brew, you know what to do — head over to this Lunar New Year marketplace STAT!
We’ll be snacking around the Festival all day so don’t miss our other reviews! AND if you can, make sure you check out the Lunar New Year at Disney California Adventure! It’s a great way to kick of 2o20!
