FastPass+ is finally traveling to a galaxy far, far away!
Today, we have confirmed that FastPass+ is coming to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This attraction allows guests to control the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy — the Millennium Falcon. Previously, guests only had the option to wait in line or take advantage of the single rider option when riding this attraction.

But now that’s all about to change because FastPass+ is FINALLY coming to Galaxy’s Edge! The first date that is showing as available for FastPass+ is currently February 19th. So, if you have a trip coming up soon, you may want to hop into your My Disney Experience app, because we have a feeling that these are going to go quickly! Remember, Disney hotel guests can make FastPasses up to 60 days in advance, and the general public can make FastPasses up to 30 days in advance.
Millennium Falcon: FastPass
The attraction is also currently listed as a Tier One attraction. According to Disney, “When you make FastPass+ plans for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can select between either Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run or Slinky Dog Dash (pending availability). Then, you can add additional experiences to plans, including Toy Story Mania, Alien Swirling Saucers, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Fantasmic! and more.” This is a HUGE change seeing as many of these attractions were previously listed as Tier One.

Currently, Rise of the Resistance is still operating on the Boarding Group system. And neither attraction in Disneyland is offering FastPasses just yet. Disney has shared that this could change, but not for the time being.

That headliner ‘Millennium Falcon FastPass NOW AVAILABLE” was a bit of a cheap shot. We jumped onto our app and had to relinquish a fastpass reservation to be able to ‘look’ for a fastpass opening. Only to find out further on in your article that it would be the 19th before it would start. Not cool.
So do the new tiers start on Feb 19th as well. I am going there on Feb. 7th and seems like all tiers are the same when I went to change my FP for the day.

Wow, I cant thank you enough for the heads up on the fast pass for the millennium falcon, my family and I are visiting in March and my young kids would not do well standing in line for 2 hours for this ride but would have been very disappointed if they didnt get to ride, so thanks again.

Glad to hear they’ve changed the Tier one FP+ attractions. It’s nice to know I can now get a FP+ for both Tower of Terror and Toy Story Mania on the same day. Woo hoo!

I was working and saw this too late for our trip the 16th thru the 21th. Ugh! Crossing our fingers for ror and smugglers run now.
The force was not with me! I’m 60 days out today, logged on immediately at 7am ET and Millennium Falcon fast passes were already sold out. Am I wrong about the time they become available?
Chris, keep checking. It’s possible the system is glitching. It’s also possible they’re gone, but it’s worth checking regularly.

If we have never rode Slinky dog would you suggest SD FP or Smugglers Run? I keep looking and it appears the SD wait times are longer.
Jennifer, if you’re regularly seeing longer wait times for SDD, personally I’d suggest going for that one.
