There seems to be ONE THING on everyone’s minds at Disney World lately — BBQ!
That’s because Regal Eagle Smokehouse will soon be opening at Epcot’s World Showcase not to mention Roundup Rodeo Barbecue will debut in Hollywood Studios’ Toy Story Land sometime later in 2020! But what if you’ve got a hankering for BBQ to satisfy RIGHT NOW?
Luckily for you, 4 Rivers (a popular southern BBQ chain) is expanding its Disney World operations — AGAIN! Starting this week you’ll find two new concession venues at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex — 4 Rivers The COOP and 4 Rivers The Grill!
You’ll find the two new locations at The Arena! The COOP offerings will include a selection of the restaurant’s most popular dishes, including its famous Chicken Tenders, Signature Grilled and Fried Chicken Sandwiches, and Chicken Tender Salad. The Grill location will focus on made-to-order Angus Burgers, along with Chili & Cheese Footlong Hot Dogs, and Corn Dog Nuggets! And for vegetarians, you’ll be able to score Beyond Burger served on a vegan-friendly bun!
Both The COOP and The Grill will only be open during events held in The Arena, so next time you’re hungry after competing or just a starving spectator in need of some tasty grub, check out the new 4 Rivers joints!
Not headed to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex any time soon but interested in trying some 4 Rivers offerings on your next trip? So basically, neither new location will have any BBQ. Zero. Nada. Making this another in a long line of click-bait articles. It’s sad to see how far this blog has fallen in just the last 5 years…

I agree with Lee!

Aw, no, I like the dfb’s reporting. It is truthful and always includes great photos.

Lee,
You do realize that if you go about 10 miles east on Osceola Parkway you’ll find an actual 4Rivers Smokehouse on the south side of the street, right?
Lee says
That has nothing to do with my point. I know where many BBQ restaurants in Orlando (and the parks) are. My point is that this blog, which used to be a great source of information, has devolved into the “click-bait” model, where:
1) The first image in the article often has absolutely nothing, and I mean nothing, to do with the actual article.
2) The titles are purposely written to lead you to believe that there is certain information in the post (like “We’ve got the deets on Space 2020 Opening!!!!!” when in fact the post has no details on opening. I don’t remember this happening 5 years ago here. Now it happens *daily*.
Worst of all, it appears AJ has turned over most of the writing to 12-15 year-olds, because:
1) Grammar and spelling are at a new low in this blog.
2) Excessive use of !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! exclamation points and italics.
3) Taking every opportunity to use words like “deets” and “adorbs”. This is fine occasionally, but when when you do it in almost every post, it gets old. Very old. Fast.
I used to really respect this blog, but in the last year the signal-to-noise ratio and the click-baiting have gotten so bad it’s just hard to even read. It makes me sad.
