In response to the Coronavirus outbreak, the Walt Disney Company has been doing everything they can to ensure the health and safety of its guests.
And, while we’ve been keeping you up to date on the closure of Hong Kong Disneyland and Shanghai Disney Resort, Disney on the high seas is also joining in to prevent further exposure to the virus.
Since the U.S. State Department has issued a Level 4 Travel Advisory urging people to avoid traveling to China currently, Disney Cruise Line is preventing guests and crew members who have traveled to or from mainland China within the past 2 weeks from boarding the ships. And, for the cruises that travel to the Bahamas, port authorities “will not allow anyone to disembark in any Bahamian port of call if they have been to mainland China in the past 20 days prior to their arrival.”
Although Disney upholds extensive sanitation regulations, the cruise line has asked guests to contact them about any party members who have traveled to China or had “direct physical contact (having cared for, lived with, or had direct contact) with someone who has a confirmed or suspected case of novel coronavirus” before the start of their vacation.
While the Disney Cruise Line is in contact with numerous health agencies about the situation, they also have protocol for handling these circumstances. You can find out more information or contact the cruise line at 1-866-325-2112 or 407-566-3510.

Shalimar humes says
Yes, we are scheduled for a Disney cruise in April and we are very concerned about the Coronavirus Virus. Will disney cancel cruises? Should we cancel?
DFB Sarah says
Shalimar, you could reach out to DCL about their policies and see what they say. Ultimately it would have to be your decision (unless cruises are cancelled).
Helen says
Yes, I’m of age and also taking a cruise in April. It’s not the mentioned places that are the DC concern but the Princess ship from SF to Mexico has an outbreak of the virus and my plans are out of San Diego but this is still a month out and of definite concern. We’ll we be contacted or will we need to contact when the cruises have to make changes? Governor Newsom has declared a statewide emergency
DFB Sarah says
Helen, it’s hard to know if DCL would reach out and how effectively they would should there be any major changes. You might want to reach out to them to see if you’re comfortable continuing with your plans.
