Even though it’s only been here for a few months, we already feel like Disney+ has become a big part of our lives. We’ve been going back and watching some of our favorite movies and series, but we also can’t get enough of the new sensation that’s sweeping the nation, Baby Yoda.
While we’ve already shared that season 2 of The Mandalorian would be released this fall. Disney has now given an official month of arrival for when we will be able to watch the continuing adventures of Mando and The Child.
CEO Bob Iger told attendees of Disney’s quarterly earning’s call yesterday that season 2 of The Mandalorian would be coming to Disney+ in October. While we don’t know exactly when in October yet, we’re just going to go ahead and circle the whole month as being important.
Iger added that there was potential we could see spin-offs of the show featuring some of the other characters. We would love a Cara Dune spin-off!
Disney+ has surpassed 28 million subscribers and Disney is already developing more original content for our entertainment. In addition to The Mandalorian season 2, we know that two Marvel shows, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision, will be debuting this year. Iger also mentioned that both the Obi-Wan Kenobi and Cassian Andor series are still in development, so there’s even more Star Wars on the way!

Disney relied waaaay too much on Baby Yoda. I feel like nothing actually happened during the first season. Hopefully season 2 will be better.
