We’re having a frightfully good time at the first Villains After Hours event of 2020! After our visit to last year’s event, we’ve were excited to try all the new treats and to see all the new merchandise this year.
Next, we’re headed to Cheshire Café for a tasty treat called Painting the Roses Red — a sweet homage to the anything-but sweet Queen of Hearts herself!
It’s time for us to courtsey and pay our respects to the Painting the Roses Red!
This party-exclusive treat features a cheesecake mousse with raspberry gelée, red cocoa butter, and buttercream leaves. And y’all, this thing is SO pretty! We never thought we’d agree with the Queen of Hearts, but this rose definitely looks really nice painted red.
And it tasted sooo good too!
We thought the treat was super flavorful. The cheesecake mousse was creamy and delicious and the raspberry and cocoa flavors balanced really well. This dish wasn’t too rich either, which left us with plenty of room to try more yummy villainous snacks!
All ways are her ways, so if you’re headed to Villains After Hours this year, be sure to try Painting the Roses Red for $5.99! You wouldn’t want to upset the Queen, after all!
