Pineapple Lanai at Disney’s Polynesian Resort is one of our favorite places to enjoy one of Disney World’s finest frozen treats — DOLE WHIP!

But every now and then the skies part over this little slice of paradise and something truly heavenly descends from the clouds! Today was one of those days!
You see, they’re now serving a special float called the Polynesian Lava You! While this sounds a lot like the I Lava You Float from Sunshine Tree Terrace, we promise they’re different!
Polynesian Lava You
The Polynesian Lava You is a pineapple Dole Whip soft-serve float with passion fruit, orange, and guava juice — that’s right, friends! This thing is loaded with POG Juice, a.k.a the nectar of the tiki gods which you’ll find at a few other spots around Disney World including ‘Ohana and Tusker House in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

The non-alcoholic version costs $5.99, but you can also get it served with a shot of coconut rum for $15.25! We’re not really sure why it comes on the side, but we like that it gives us some options! You can either swig it back or pour it over the top of your Polynesian Lava You — it’s your island oasis!

The Polynesian Lava You also comes topped with popping candy! We thought the Polynesian Lava You was truly delicious! It’s very tart and fruity but not too sweet. Just as we suspected, when the POG Juice mixed with pineapple Dole Whip it was a symphony of flavors almost as enchanting as the Tiki Room itself!

We gotta say, we LAVA this one even more than the I Lava You Float from Sunshine Terrace in Magic Kingdom! We’re not sure if the Polynesian Lava You will be sticking around for very long, so if you’re a dreamer like us and have always fantasized about a concoction such as this, hurry down to Disney’s Polynesian Resort pronto!

Is it vegan?
Marybeth, you might want to check on the popping candy, but otherwise the pineapple Dole Whip is vegan, and POG juice should be.
