You know we’ve loved ourselves some Cluck-A-Doodle-Moo sliders and wings ever since this booth debuted in 2018! We were super stoked when we found out this Food and Wine Festival favorite would be returning to Disney California Adventure in 2020!
And while we were a little bummed to find out the Salt and Vinegar Parmesan Chicken Wings and Grilled Beef Tenderloin Slider with Chimichurri Sauce that we LOVED last year have been switched up, we can’t wait to try their new selections!
Food
This year, Cluck-A-Doodle-Moo is serving Ranch Fried Chicken Wings with a Buffalo Hot Sauce Drizzle for $8.
While these wings were good, we found that the hot sauce overpowered the ranch flavor, so if you’re averse to spicy foods, you’ve been warned! These left us kind of missing last year’s Salt and Vinegar Parmesan Wings!
And while there’s still a Beef Tenderloin Slider on the menu, this year’s version features a new sauce and comes topped with caramelized onions. The French Onion Grilled Beef Tenderloin Slider costs $8.50.
The French Onion Slider was a highlight of this booth for us! The meat was cooked medium and came out super tender. It had a great flavor but was not overpowering! Disney should seriously consider adding a full size version of this to one of their restaurants because we would totally order it!
For the first time, Cluck-A-Doodle-Moo is dishing out a dessert! We’ve been ready to dig into this new Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch for $6.50.
This hazelnut ball had mousse, ganache, and a whole hazelnut in the middle. It was certainly yummy, but very hazelnut-centric which came across as very one-note.
But hey, if hazelnut is your flavor of choice, you’d probably enjoy this treat!
Beverages
Don’t let its silly name fool you — Cluck-A-Doodle-Moo’s beverage list is SERIOUS business!
We spotted a ton of new brews including the Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc Witbier for $11.75! Can’t make up your mind? Go with one of Cluck-A-Doo-Moo’s Beer Flights! For $15, you can sample these four local beers or buy them by the glass for $11.75 each!
- Pizza Port California Honey Blonde Golden Ale
- Golden Road Pineapple Cart Wheat AleÂ
- Coast Brewery Watermelon Wheat AleÂ
- King Harbor Brewing Cerveza Hermosa Mexican Amber LagerÂ
For $16, you can upgrade the same beers shown above as a Michelada Flight! Each selection is also available for purchase separately as a Michelada for $12.25 each! Check out our taste notes for each below!
1: The Pizza Port California Honey Blonde Michelada is spicy with a light tomatillo flavor. The hint of cucumber mellows out the spicy start to the drink. Overall, it’s a nice fizzy sip!
2: The Golden Road Pineapple Cart Michelada has a more fruity flavor and a little less heat with a spicy-lime-pineapple aftertaste.
3: Lost Coast Watermelon Wheat Michelada has a melon flavor at its forefront. The tomato juice mix tames the spicy more than in the green version.
4: King Harbor Brewing Cerveza Hermosa Michelada is the most tomato-y one of the four. Very standard michelada taste but needed the seasoning of a chile-salt rim (as they all did!).Â
Despite the changes to the menu, we were still happy to see Cluck-A-Doo-Moo at Disney California Adventure’s Food and Wine Festival! See what’s cluckin’ for yourself now through April 21st, 2020!
