Food Reviews
So, let’s hop into the FIRST review, people!
We kicked things off at I Heart Artichokes. This year, they have two returning items, the Fried Artichokes with Lemon Aïoli and the Artichoke Toast with Artichoke Cream Cheese and Olive & Artichoke Tapenade. While the items are returning, they are a little different than they were last year!
You can see our FULL I Heart Artichokes review here!
Next, we ate til our hearts were content at Cluck-A-Doodle-Moo. We tried the Ranch Fried Chicken Wings with a Buffalo Hot Sauce Drizzle, the Beef Tenderloin Slider, annnnnd the Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch.
Find out which one was our FAVORITE here!
Looking for something fruity? Then you’ve gotta head over to Berry Patch where they have 5 new berry-filled menu items!
Check out our FULL Berry Patch review here!
And you’ve GOTTA try the Carbonara Garlic Mac & Cheese with Nueske’s Bacon from Garlic Kissed. Y’all…this stuff is cheesy heaven!
Get all the cheesy Garlic Kissed booth details here!
We have a BEST of the FEST alert! Off the Cob is servin’ up an all-new menu and it includes the Caramel-Peanut Milk Chocolate Macaron. Need we say more? It’s cute and it tastes just like a Snickers!
Take a look at our FULL Off the Cob review here!
Over at Avocado Time, we tried out the returning (and THICK) Petite Impossible™ Burger with Guac and Pepper Jack and the Tortilla-crusted Fried Guacamole with Carne Asada! We’re a little bummed because we wanted MORE flavor, but we’re pumped to see a vegetarian-friendly option on the menu again this year!
Check out our FULL Avocado Time review here!
Next, we turned up the HEAT and took a trip to Peppers Cali-ente! Goodbye Ghost Pepper Mac and Cheese and hello Creamy Poblano Pepper Pasta (and surprise cilantro?)! This booth is still serving up the spice this year with its all-NEW menu!
Take a look at our full review for Peppers Cali-ente HERE!
Over at the brand NEW BOOTH, One in a Melon, we tried out a bunch of bright pink options bursting with flavor, but the Pabana Cream Puff stole our hearts! And we followed it up with a gingery Berry Mule that left us feelin’ fresh!
Check out our FULL review of every item at One in a Melon here!
It wouldn’t be the Food and Wine Festival without some WINE, so we headed over to Uncork California to see what’s poppin’ this year! We tried out the new Road Trip Mimosa Trio, which had strong flavors of coconut, peach, and lavender!
Find out what else we found at Uncork California in our review here!
Nuts About Cheese surprised us this year with the Impossible™ Cheeseburger Mac & Cheese and Oikos Greek Yogurt Banoffee Tart that had us wanting to come back for seconds!
You can find our review (including the beloved BREAD BOWL) at Nuts About Cheese here!
Over at LA Style, we were wowed by their new Smoked Bacon Barbecue Beef Loco Moco— we would eat this sauce on anything! They also have Monkey Bread with a Whiskey Glaze for a sweet follow-up to the smoky beef!
Check out our review of this year’s LA Style booth HERE!
Golden Dreams has also debuted a BRAND NEW menu! With the new Brunch Fried Chicken & Waffle Sandwich and Seared Verlasso Salmon, we were shocked to find that we weren’t as blown away as last year.

If you LOVE Beer and uhhh Pepperoni Pizza Egg Rolls, you’ve gotta check out California Craft Brews!

At Paradise Garden Grill, the Impossible™ Meatball Submarine is back, but it was the battle of the briskets this year! Brisket Sliders vs. Brisket Fries! You’ll have to try them for yourself to decide, but we declared the fries our winner! They were loaded up with brisket, cheese, and chipotle crema that we couldn’t get enough of!
You can see our review of Paradise Garden Grill here!
Looking to get your beer on?! Then you’ve gotta head over to the Paradise Beer Garden where the list of delicious beers is endless!!

Other Festival Offerings
We’re getting a caffeine boost at Schmoozies! to fuel up for even MORE drinks and snacks! We really enjoyed the Almond Mocha Shake and especially loved the toffee rim!
Check out our review of the exclusive festival offerings at Schmoozies! HERE!
If you’re looking for a different way to get your caffeine, head over to the Pacific Wharf Coffee Cart to try the Fruitful Green Tea. The mix of green tea, pineapple juice, orange juice, and berry flavor was a great start to our day!
You can find our full review of Pacific Wharf Coffee Cart’s festival drinks here!
Now that we have plenty of energy from the coffee and tea, we needed some FOOD from the Outdoor Vending Carts! We switched back and forth between eating the Sweet Empanada and Savory Empanada because they were both THAT good!
Check out a full review of the Outdoor Vending Carts at this year’s Festival here!
We found a decadent desert for chocolate lovers at Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta! The Chocolate-Hazelnut Cheesecake was rich, creamy, and had a wonderful crust — don’t mind if we do!
You can find our full review of this cheesecake at Boardwark Pizza and Pasta HERE!
More cheese? Sign us up! The California Cheesesteak at Sonoma Terrace was a hearty lunch and savory break from the the other sweet treats we’ve had! You can also get your cheese fix via pretzel dunk or meatball sub here!
Check out our full review of the new items at Sonoma Terrace here!
And to finish out our Food and Wine tour, we stopped by Pacific Wharf Distribution Company for the Karl Strauss Crazy Eyes Doppelbock. Since we started our day with coffee, we figured we’d end it on a coffee note too!
