We’re in heaven in Disneyland right now with all of the new treats they’ve unveiled for the Magic Happens Parade. Why were they keeping these away from us for so long?
We’ve already gotten our hands on the Island Pork Toasted Sandwich and the Esquite Hot Dog, but now we’re craving something sweet and we found the perfect treat on Main Street.
We’re ready to give our sweet tooth a work-out on the new Dulche de Leche Sundae at Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor. This baby comes with a double scoop of Dulce de Leche ice cream in a waffle cone bowl and is topped with bananas and caramel sauce. Whipped cream and a strawberry add in that classic sundae flair, but we’re still freaking out about the whole Mickey sugar cookie that comes in the sundae!
The ice cream was nice and refreshing, perfect for cooling down in the California heat. Between the ice cream and the sugar cookie, there’s a lot of sweetness here, but the caramel helps balance the flavor by adding a little salty kick.
We were excited to try the bananas, but, unfortunately, ours were hard and gummy! They almost tasted like plantains to us, so we had to double-check that they were actually bananas. Maybe we just got a bad batch, but the rest of the sundae was so good.
You can try this yummy snack for yourself at Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor for $6.99.
