Come, dear readers, our destiny awaits.
We are going on a grand and glorious quest to Disney Springs for the newest Onward inspired treat. HUZZAH! Yesterday we shared that a new Onward-themed float would be making it’s way to Disney Springs and today we’re here to check it out.
While you might not be able to spot Guinevere anymore (bummer), The Lightfloat looks as if it should be full of wonder, adventure, and magic! Or so we thought…
The float is mixed up with cotton candy lemonade, vanilla soft serve, and topped with more cotton candy. Plus, our favorite l’il wizard Ian Lightfoot is wielding the AWESOME wizard staff his dad left behind as an enchanting garnish.
Holy tooth of Zadar is this float… different? The lemonade is super tart compared to the sweet vanilla soft serve, which isn’t our favorite combo, although, we still LOVE that good ole’ Disney soft serve! We do know that a ton of people love this flavor combo, so if you’re a fan vanilla ice cream and lemonade together, this may be the float for you!
When it came to the exciting cotton candy flavor, we were a bit let down as we didn’t taste it in the lemonade at all. The cotton candy itself is yummy, but it did melt into the float pretty quickly, so you may want to snack on that first! And sadly, we found that the candy image of Ian on top doesn’t really taste like anything and was pretty difficult to eat.
Overall, we were pretty underwhelmed by the float and wished the flavors would have been more appealing! But, we do think it’s a really cute and fun opening day Onward treat nonetheless.
Although our quest for The Lighfloat was a bit uneventful, you can still use your visitation spell to visit the adorable Onward photo-op featuring Barley and Ian in Disney Springs! You can spot it in front of Once Upon A Toy.
If you want to try it for yourself, you can get your own The Lightfloat at Marketplace Snacks for $6.
