Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at Magic Kingdom!
And, we’ve got PLENTY of merchandise, food, and construction updates for you, so let’s dive right on in!
Magic Kingdom Food Updates
Confectionery
St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, and we’re celebrating with themed treats at the Main Street Confectionery! If you’re looking for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, then you’re going to LOVE the new Pot of Gold Cake Pop!
The chocolate cake pop is covered in chocolate coating, golden sugar, and a rainbow candy strip for an extra sweet finish. You can get your own Pot of Gold Cake Pop for $4.29…
…before having the matching Pot of Gold Apple! Um, do you SEE all that cocoa powder goodness for $10.99?!
Celebrate St. Paddy’s Day with us and read our full review of the Pot of Gold Cake Pop!
Tony’s Town Square Restaurant
Tony’s is switching things up on their menu! Although we’re going to have to say goodbye to the Calamari and Gnocchi (RIP), the Grilled Pork Chop has been added for guests to try. (Anyone up for a romantic meal??)
Big Top Treats
We are HUGE fans of peanut butter here at DFB (we could practically have it on everything). That’s why we were sooo excited to spot the Peanut Butter Chips Caramel Apple for $10.99…
…and the Peanut Butter Chips Marshmallow Wand for $4.99! Um, our mouths are watering!!!
Sleepy Hollow
The Churro Ice Cream Sandwich was a dream come true and one of the BEST uses of a Disney Dining Plan snack credit. And, although it’s been a go-to treat for us while we visit Sleepy Hollow, the Churro Ice Cream Sandwich has disappeared from the restaurant (brb while we shed a few tears). While it’s still on the menu…
…the treat has been switched out to the previous version, the Vanilla Ice Cream Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwich for $6.99!
Even though we aren’t sure if the Churro Ice Cream Sandwich will be back, the Vanilla Ice Cream Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwich is still a delicious snack (and another great use of the snack credit)!
Check out all the deets on the Vanilla Ice Cream Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwich here!
Magic Kingdom Construction Update
Cinderella Castle
Just in time for Disney World’s 50th anniversary, Cinderella Castle is finally being painted pink AND blue to celebrate! While the castle is undergoing its refurb, it will remain uncovered so guests can still make magical memories with photo ops.
Although the construction cranes are a little bit of an eyesore, we are so excited to see the rosy colors coming to life! We are happy to notes that the cranes were pulled down mid-day yesterday for shows, so you should still be able to get some great castle pics.
We’ll keep you updated on all the construction updates of the Cinderella Castle (and you should definitely tag us in your adorable photos)!

TRON Lightcycle Run
The TRON Coaster‘s construction is in full swing, ready to take guests on a thrilling adventure through the Grid. While the walls are already starting to get put up for the partially indoor coaster…
…you can also spot the track curving around the outside of the building into Tomorrowland! 2021 is going to be one of the BEST years ever in Disney World!
Read all about TRON Lightycyle Run here!
Sonny Eclipse has been in and out of Cosmic Ray‘s during his World Tour (of course), but he’s BACK, bb! And, we’re ready to jam out to his out-of-this-world tunes…
…and maybe even dance along with him to the AWESOME melodies!
Magic Kingdom Merchandise Update
The Emporium
The live-action Mulan film is out SUPER soon (like the end of the month, you guys!). And, although we will be wearing our floral pins and best warrior outfits to the premiere, you can also put on the Mulan Alex and Ani Bracelet!
The charm features beautiful cherry blossoms and a reminder to “live with honor” for $49.99.
Take a closer look at the Mulan Alex and Ani bracelet here!
You can also stand out above the crowd with the electrifying Powerline Alex and Ani Bracelet! All the way from the A Goofy Movie, Max has swung into Magic Kingdom wearing his idol’s iconic outfit…
…and showing off his best moves for $44.99! We’d be swooning if we were Roxanne!!
Check out the Max Alex and Ani here!
In honor of Mulan‘s heroic arrival into theaters soon, there’s a new merchandise collection in the Emporium that’s giving us some SERIOUS girl power!!
Whether you’re wanting to look as pretty as a cherry blossom or as fierce as a warrior, you can dress up the Mulan Doll whatever way you’d like with the new set for $49.99…
…or the Mulan Funko POP! (who looks ready to save all of China).
You can even learn the ways of a warrior wielding the Mulan Toy Sword…
…that lights up, so you can use it any time of the day or night!
For all your feisty princesses out there, they can put on the Mulan Dress…
…that comes with “mesh armor” fit for a true warrior…
…and a sword holder (coolest word pairing ever) for $99.99.
Mulan has so many lessons to teach us, especially wearing the Loyal, Brave, True Shirt for $24.99…
…the True Leader Shirt for $36.99…
…and the Warrior Hoodie, featuring the Chinese symbols for “loyal, brave, and true” for $44.99.
This cup might be the most rare and beautiful of all in the Emporium! The Mulan Tumbler features our awesome heroine…
…and lots of cherry blossoms for $19.99. Can you see your own reflection in it??
Take a closer look at all of the Mulan merchandise here!
Although we’ve seen them in Disneyland, the Class of 2020 Socks are a perfect gift for all those grads out there…
…and the Animal Socks are a wild way to celebrate the occasion for $14.99 each.
The ABCDisney Collection has been making its way around Disney World (and we LOVE it). And, you can create a little of your own magic with the Dream Create Inspire Journal…
…where you can let everyone know that the artistic creations inside are yours!
You can come up with the newest inspirations for tomorrow (future Imagineer maybe??)…
…draw your own characters or animations like Walt…
…and write down your dreams or stories for $19.99.
It might only be March, but with the release of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets, we’re in a spooky mood already! And, the new-to-us The Nightmare Before Christmas Playing Cards seem like a great way to play one of Oogie’s games for $14.99…
…while you think about all the ghoulish treats that will be coming to the party this year! Oooh, we’re really scared!!
Star Traders
The Disney Pets Loungefly Backpacks have been barking into stores all over Disney World! Now, Star Traders has the snuggly new Disney Dogs Loungefly on its shelves…
…featuring some of our favorite pups, paw prints, and dog bones in the design for $75!
Check out the Disney Pets Loungefly Backpacks here! (Yes, there’s a cat version too!)
Big Top Souvenirs
Riley imagines up some BIG dreams in Inside Out, but our favorite happens to be the Rainbow Unicorn (look how fab she is). And, you can channel some of her incredible style while you wear the Rainbow Unicorn Socks for $14.99. Now, we just need one of Bing Bong’s bow ties to complete the outfit!
Well, that’s all for this What’s New at Magic Kingdom! We’ll catch you next time for more merchandise, construction, and food updates!

St.. Paddy’s Day, not Patty. And yes it does matter
Essie says
I like the Dream, Create, Inspire Journal. I’d like to have one for myself and it would make a nice souvenir for others, too. My Irish cousins and I always make ham and cabbage for St Patty’s day. The treats they have to celebrate it are cute.
