If an effort to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus to their Cast Members and guests, Disney has been taking several precautions, including shutting down parks if need be, like with the Tokyo Disney Resort.
While we saw the Shanghai Disneyland Resort beginning to reopen this week after its own closure, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea will be extending their closure.
Previously, Tokyo Disney has said they would remain closed until March 15th. Now, the Tokyo Disney Resort website has been updated to show that the parks will remain closed through early April now.
Disney has also stated that several shows and events that were scheduled to end will still do so while the park is closed, like Lilo’s Luau & Fun and the Tokyo DisneySea version of Fantasmic!
They have also mentioned that the grand opening of their “new Fantasyland” area, which was scheduled to open April 15th has been postponed to mid-May or beyond.
You can check out the full list of closing shows and events, along with inquiries about tickets and vacation packages on the Tokyo Disney Resort website.
