With Disney Resorts everywhere closing to promote the safety of guests and cast members in light of the current global situation, Disney’s Aulani Resort and Spa in Hawaii is following suit.
While the Hawaiian resort and spa updated its sanitation procedures and has allowed guests to switch their reservations without a change fee, Aulani is putting the safety of its guests, cast, and crew first during these difficult times.
On March 24th at 5 PM, Aulani began a temporary closure as a health precaution for the time being. At press time, the resort planned on staying closed through March 31st. However, this post has been updated to reflect that on March 27th, the closure of Aulani was announced to be extended “until further notice.”Â
Disney has stated that guests with upcoming reservations can visit the Aulani Resort website or call (866) 443-4763 to reschedule reservations for a future date. They’ll be waiving all the cancellation fees of these dates, including rescheduled reservations with arrival dates through June 30th.
While guests with hotel packages will need to call to rebook or cancel, room-only reservations booked through Disney will automatically be canceled if the arrival date falls during the closure. Disney Vacation Club Members will also see their point return to the current Use Year without placing them in holding. We’ll keep you updated with any new information!
