It’s almost been a week since we last stepped foot in one of the Disney World parks (and we’ve been missing it EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.)!
And, we’re making our must-do list of things to do, see, and eat once the parks open up again (so you can come along with us, of course)!
Take in the Parks and All Their Magic
Since we’re having to stay away from one of our favorite places in the world for so long, that Disney magic is going to be even more amazing once we get to experience it again! We’re talking about that feeling when you listen to the ragtime music on Main Street, U.S.A. and smell the candy and popcorn,…
…or the moment you look up in awe at the floating rocks in Pandora,…
…or even when a Cast Member smiles at you to welcome you “home.”
We’re going to cherish each moment because they’re all special!!
Ride Our Favorite Rides Over and Over Again
While we have a special place in our hearts for ALL the Disney attractions in the parks, we’re ready to hop on our favorite rides so many times that the Cast Members know us by name!! We are excited to fly to Neverland on Peter Pan’s Flight,…
…take a thrilling trip through the stars on Space Mountain,…
…celebrate sisterhood and a story of TRUE love on Frozen Ever After,…
…escape the Yeti (and his strobe lights) on Expedition Everest,…
…drop into the 5th dimension on the Tower of Terror,…
…and join the Rebellion on Rise of the Resistance.
Who else misses being captured by the First Order as much as we do??
Cry Puddles of Happy Tears at the Disney Parades and Fireworks
We already sob like babies when we see the entertainment in Disney World as it is, but we’ve been having some serious withdrawals recently. So, when we get the chance to park-hop and cry a million tears at the Festival of Fantasy,…
…Donald’s Dino-Bash,…
…Epcot Forever,…
…Happily Ever After, we are going to see every one of them and shed lots of happy tears.
Eat Every Single Iconic Disney Treat
Honestly, we’ve been craving Disney eats and treats every day we’ve been outside of the parks. And, the SECOND we set foot in Disney World, we’re going on a snack crawl for iconic treats like Mickey Bars,…
…Mickey Pretzels (and basically each of the other Mickey inspired snacks out there),…
…Dole Whips, Dole Whip Floats,…
…Churros, and anything else our hearts desire.
Plus, we’re really looking forward to the new eats and treats that will most likely be making their way into the parks when they reopen!!
Buy a New Piece of Merchandise
Celebrating your first visit back to Disney World with something new and pretty sounds pretty great, right?? We always say that it’s a great thing to treat yo’self, you know! We’ve been saving our pennies so we can party in a pair of Minnie Ears,…
…a stylish hat,…
…a fashionable tee,…
…a cozy jacket,…
…a set of park buttons (don’t forget to pick up a free celebratory button when you enter the parks too!),…
…or even some pins to add to our collection. Oooor, maybe we could just get all of the above!! ;D
Hug ALL the Disney Characters
Disney’s magic not only comes from the atmosphere, the shows, the food, and the attractions, but the characters have our hearts too! Even though we might have to wait a little while longer to be able to hug them with everything going on right now, the moment we we get to see them will make every second of waiting worth it. Whether you love hearing about life under the sea from Ariel,…
…a galaxy far, far away from Chewbacca,…
…what it’s like to be a toy from Jessie,…
…or how the magic was created in the Disney Parks with Mickey, those meet-and-greets and hugs are full of happiness and love.
It’s fine, we’re just getting a lil teary thinking about it…
Thank Cast and Crew Members
And, quite possibly the MOST important thing on our must-do list is thank the Cast and Crew Members who do everything they can to make our vacations joyful. They greet you with such warm smiles,…
…help make fun and goofy memories with you,…
…and sprinkle pixie dust on every aspect of your trip to Disney World. The parks wouldn’t be the same without them, and we think they deserve a MASSIVE round of applause!!
While we aren’t completely certain when Disney World will reopen, we know that visiting again will be worth the wait.

R of the R with its unfortunate daily shutdowns/closures would be mine. Praying the minds behind the ride are working from home or somewhere figuring out how to fix the software shutdowns. Using this downtime to fix one of the most amazing rides would be such a accomplishment !! I met a person 10 days ago who came from Argentina mainly to ride it and was in line with me waiting for a chance as shutdown delayed her boarding group. I know complexity of this nature results in issues, just would have thought 4 mos in they would have been resolved/minimized.

Another Tip Is Always Wash Your Hands with Hand Gel Before & After You Go on the Rides & Wash Your Hands in Diner Restrooms Before You Have a Snack or Meal.
