OK, we know things are crazy right now. But fear not. Future vacations ARE on the horizon, I promise. And when you DO go back to Disney World, this info is going to come in VERY handy, trust me.
Being on vacation means an escape from the mundanity of life and the tasks that take up waaay too many hours of our time normally. One of those chores we’re more than happy to escape from is laundry!

But sometimes you find yourself in a bit of a dilemma! How did you blow through a week’s worth of socks in just three days? Why did you only pack two pairs of shorts? Oh no…your kid (or your husband…or you…let’s be honest) forgot to pack underwear!? What if you’re headed somewhere other than home after your trip to Disney World or Disneyland and your suitcase could only hold so much? The solution becomes pretty clear — you need to do some laundry for your vacation-vibes to survive!
Now, in the past, doing laundry at Disney World has been do-able (each resort offers easily accessible laundry facilities), but you were basically stuck within a 20 foot radius of the laundry room during the process. You don’t want some stranger touching your clothes (or potentially stealing your v. expensive Disney World sweatshirt), so you stick around.

But if you can remember doing Disney laundry in the old days…trust me when I say things are much better — and more technologically awesome — than before. Now, your laundry will tell YOU when it’s finished via a totally free web app called LaundryView.
You don’t need to download or create a log-in to use LaundryView, and it’s automatically synchronized to the guest laundry facilities at each Disney World and Disneyland Resort! All you have to do is open the website and type in your resort name.

And voila! The web app shows you in real time how many washers and dryers are available where you are! If you wish, you can set up a mobile alert for when a machine is available, and LaundryView will even let you know when your load is done!
That way you can relax and watch some tv back at your room, go swimming with the fam, head in for a quick fastpass ride, or maybe grab a snack before it’s time to move your clothes over!

We used LaundryView at the Polynesian (DVC building) back in October. It was awesome!
I wish the machines would Lock for a 10 minute or so grace period after it shuts off..to give you time to get there and stop the people who think they are more important than you, from tossing your clothes out of their way !
