On top of all the closure at Disney Parks around the world, Disney Cruise Line has halted its sailings to keep guests and crew safe during this time!
Although canceled departures have now been extended through April 28th, the cruises are also updating their refund policies (so guests still get a little extra Disney magic).
Disney Cruise Line has updated it policies for “sailings cancelled or moved between January 30 and March 31, 2020 scheduled to depart between April 13 and April 28, 2020.”
If you planned on setting sail on the high seas during these last few weeks of April and cancelled your reservation between January 30th and March 31st, the cancellation fees will be automatically refunded to affected guests!
On top of this refund, guests who worked with the Disney Cruise Line to schedule a departure from April 13th through April 28th will receive a future cruise credit equal to 25% of the original cost of their previous cruise to use towards their modified reservation.
After guests pay their modified reservation in full, the remaining cruise credit will then be applied to their onboard account as a non-refundable credit. The future cruise credit is non-transferable, non-refundable, and only valid for sailings that depart within 15 months of their originally scheduled cruise.
However, if guests choose to cancel their modified reservations, they can still receive a full refund of the amount paid for the original cruise. Guests unable to use the future cruise credit will also be able to get a “refund up to the amount they paid in full.” You can contact the Disney Cruise Line for more information about how to get the future cruise credit at (866) 325-2112 or (407) 566-3510.
