Despite the fact that Disney World is still closed until further notice, they’re still makin’ changes to the menus on their website!
Somewhere out there, work is continuing with Disney World’s food and beverage team! Let’s check out some of the biggest changes coming our way…as soon as we can get back into those restaurants.
Price Hikes at Ale & Compass Lounge
One of the most striking changes we noticed was at Ale & Compass Lounge. Not to be confused with Ale & Compass Restaurant, this lounge is a nice, quiet escape off to the side of the Yacht Club Resort lobby.
This week, prices on the vast majority of alcoholic drinks saw an increase at Ale & Compass Lounge. This includes wine, beer, and cocktails. You can expect glasses of wine to be approximately $2.00 more next time you visit, and if you are looking to share a bottle of wine with your date, it could now cost an additional $4-6 per bottle.
Beers ranged from no change in price to an increase of a dollar. Many non-alcoholic mixed drinks went up 50 cents, while a number of cocktails increased by $2-2.50!

Menu Changes at Brown Derby Lounge
Another great lounge at Disney World saw some menu changes this week. The Brown Derby Lounge is a sweet alternative if you can’t get a table at the iconic Hollywood Brown Derby in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, as it serves up similar menu items, including the fan-favorite Cobb Salad.
We noticed some pretty big menu changes, especially in their beverage offerings. For you margarita fans, you may be disappointed to hear that we could no longer find ANY of the margaritas on the menu!
Not only that, but there was only ONE martini that we could find — the Grapefruit Cake Martini. Does this mean no more margarita flights or martini flights at Brown Derby Lounge? We sure hope not! Those flights are classic DFB faves!
We also noticed several price increases to several of the beverages at Brown Derby Lounge. Most of these price increases were limited to approximately $1.00-$2.00 more per beverage.
See why we adore the drink flights at Brown Derby Lounge here!
Menu and Price Changes at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar
If you find yourself at Disney Springs on your next Disney World vacation, you might enjoy a trip to Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar. Inspired by the Indiana Jones franchise, this is a unique spot filled with fun Easter Eggs and fun drinks, too.
Prices here saw some increases as well as a surprising decrease! Some of these changes were minor, like the Safari Sangria, which saw a small increase of $0.25, now costing $12.00.
You can save a few bucks if you’re a fan of the Hail Marty, which is Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Single Barrel Straight Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey bottled in Bond and comes served with an Ice Sphere. This drink previously cost $23.00, but has since dropped by $4.00 to now cost $19.00!
But one of our FAVORITE mixed drinks is no longer showing up on the menu! The Cool-Headed Monkey (Come on Temple of Doom fans, where you at?!) has disappeared! This rum punch was served in a fun monkey head souvenir glass. We sure hope this one hasn’t vanished for good!

Barq’s Root Beer Removed From Some Menus
Fans of Barq’s Root Beer, you might want to sit down for this next one if you aren’t already. We noticed it was missing from a few locations, including Mama Melrose, Trattoria al Forno, and Grand Floridian Cafe.
Hopefully we don’t see this drink disappear completely and that it’s only being removed from a select few locations!
Minute Maid Lite Replaced With Minute Maid Zero Sugar
We are also seeing that most restaurants have switched up their lemonade option.
Disney World restaurants previously served Minute Maid Light Lemonade and, according to current menus, are now serving Minute Maid Zero Sugar Lemonade.
According to the Minute Maid website, “Minute Maid Light is now Minute Maid Zero Sugar.” So this is pretty much a global change.
What’s the diff? Minute Maid Lite did have some calories and sugar, while Zero Sugar is calorie-free and uses solely artificial sweeteners.
Tusker House Sees Drink Menu Changes
Tusker House is a character buffet in Animal Kingdom. This is a great choice if you’re looking for an easier-to-get character dining reservation with some pretty good, unique food! Mickey and the gang all wear super cute safari outfits too, so it’s a great opportunity to see the characters in a unique setting.
We spotted some big changes to their drink menu. There were a few prominent drinks MISSING, like the African Margarita and Lost on Safari!
Instead, we found a new selection of alcoholic drinks, including an African Bloody Mary, African Mimosa, Cold Brew XO, and Ngumu Jungle Juice (which you can also find outside at the Dawa Bar).
It seems like there’s a lot of activity happening these days with Disney World menus! But it’s important to remember: menus change all the time in Disney World, so don’t let this stress you out too much.
While price hikes rarely reverse, it’s very possible that things that have been removed from menus will continue to come and go — especially if Disney is trying to work out supply issues when they get closer to reopening.
As always, we know you’re planning your trips for when the parks reopen, and we’re keeping you updated as we see movement. But everything is subject to change!

Magical Mixology says
The Tusker house menu is the breakfast drink menu, the regular drink menu is the same.
DebC says
Why can’t they just put in regular Minute Maid Lemonade and not the artificial stuff? Even the Zero stuff has sugar in it, tiny, tiny amounts, but it has sugar in it. So it’s not really zero. The Light stuff tasted awful. And that Pomegranate stuff was also awful. Just regular Minute Maid Lemonade, please.
LoveSugar says
Minute Maid Zero Sugar Lemonade *IS* Minute Maid Lite. It’s just a name change, like how Coke Zero is now Coke Zero Sugar.
Thom Whitham says
Prices also went up at Tortuga Tavern and food was removed there also.

Also saw somewhere else online that the Ale and Compass lounge burger went up $6.00 from $13 to $19 … that’s a huge increase if true.
