Are you a Disney history nerd like we are??
Have you ever thought about decorating your home like The Haunted Mansion? Or dreamed of getting your hands on some screen-used Disney props? Well then, we’ve got just the goodies you’re looking for. Here are six pieces of Disney history you can buy RIGHT NOW! But prepare your wallets friends, because these DON’T come cheap!
Walt Disney’s House
We might as well start off with the most expensive item on the list! One of Walt Disney’s former homes recently went on the market in Palm Springs, California. According to the Los Angeles Times, the single-story home was built in 1962 for Disney and his wife, Lillian. It stayed in the family until 2015 and became known as Disney’s “technicolor dream house” thanks to its bright color scheme and Disney-themed decor.
The 2,443-square-foot house has four bedrooms, a pool and spa, covered dining patio space, and mountain views. Sound like your dream home? It can be yours for just $1,095,000!
The Nightmare Before Christmas Prop Christmas Tree
Don’t have a million dollars to drop at the moment? Maybe you can splurge on a piece of Christmas Town instead! We found this prop tree from The Nightmare Before Christmas available on eBay for $8,000! According to the seller, this is the screen-used centerpiece of the Christmas Town set!
This tree brings up memories of Jack Skellington singing “What’s This?” while making his way through the town!
Pirates of the Caribbean Entrance Sign Concept Art
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate’s life for us! We spotted this hand-drawn artwork on eBay. The seller states this was used to create the final design for the entrance sign to the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction in Tokyo Disneyland. Check out the final version that is still hanging in the park!
The artwork is listed for $7,500 and includes a certificate of authenticity!
Prop from Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
Speaking of Pirates, we found a prop any pirate would love! Captain Barbossa was very attached to his pistol in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. But now, you can snag it from him! This (non-functional) screen-used prop pistol is listed on eBay for $6,500!
It costs a pretty penny, but we’re sure it wasn’t easy to get Barbossa to part with it!
Angels in the Outfield Clapperboard
Lights, camera, action! Another eBay find, this seller is offering a clapperboard used on the set of the 1994 live-action movie Angels in the Outfield for $650! This movie had an awesome cast, featuring Danny Glover, Christopher Lloyd, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Adrien Brody, AND Matthew McConaughey!
Alright, alright, alright! This is one of the movies that hasn’t made it to Disney+ yet, but we’re anxiously awaiting its arrival!
Cast of Pop-Up Ghost Head from The Haunted Mansion
This is one way to welcome foolish mortals into your home! We spotted this cast of the pop-up ghost head from the graveyard scene in The Haunted Mansion for $400 on eBay!
Just be careful where you display it, or else you might scare yourself!

The house was never for Walt and Lillian! Do some research! It was owned by the company for top employees and executives to use.
The house was NOT Walt’s according to a Disney Historian of sorts. He works for the Walt Disney Company and does a weekly Q&A. He thoroughly researches each question and debunked this myth. Check him out on Instagram at @exploringthedisneyworld
